I’m writing to express my disappointment with our recent stay at Palms Place, booked through StripViewSuites, from July 14–18. We specifically chose this location for the separate bedroom, which accommodates our special needs son who sleeps early, allowing the rest of us to relax and watch TV.
Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected:
Upon arrival after an 8-hour drive, we discovered the living room TV didn’t work. Maintenance from Palms said they couldn’t help because it was a third-party unit. StripViewSuites said it couldn't be addressed until the next day.
Hotel Wi-Fi didn’t work on the bedroom TV, so we had to use my phone’s hotspot.
When we requested an extra blanket and a blow dryer, housekeeping repeatedly referred us back to StripViewSuites. I was told to purchase a blow dryer for $40.
We asked to switch rooms due to the issues, but were told nothing was available.
The room had multiple other problems: a broken, stained bed, filthy carpet, and no cleaning supplies. Later we realized housekeeping isn’t included—this should be clearly stated.
Despite repeated follow-ups, the TV was never fixed. On day three, I gave up trying.
I finally spoke to a manager who apologized and promised a refund for the TV issue. However, I later received a message saying no refund would be issued because the issue had been “resolved,” which was untrue. After I mentioned leaving reviews and disputing the charge, I was offered just $40.
Do not book here.
