I communicated and updated regularly with the property but with 2 hours of flight delay, I couldn't do better than arrive 10 minutes late. They inisisted on charging me almost the full amount for an extra night. They claimed, falsely, this was listed here on Expedia...it is/was not. After being so rigid, I thought perhaps they...

"The room was really stuffy and there’s no natural light. It’s okay if you just need a place to sleep, it’s clean. The toilet is busy, I think there was only one toilet for 4 rooms. Also, there was a little hiccup in my checkin where the host didn’t respond for a while.. I waited a while before I could checkin, hotels.com helped me to communicate. No aircon, only a fan. It’s ok if you aren’t picky "

"Ok, so...the property needs up-dating, a little wear and tear, the kitchen needs to be better equipped and the curtains don't quite fit. But, it was clean, comfortable enough, really secure, I mean, there are four locked doors, therefore four keys to enter apartment. The locality/neighbourhood is real Madrid, ie. not touristy. Metro is minutes away. Any staff you do meet are friendly and helpful and the Wi-Fi works."
