"Epic scenery with western comforts. "
Had absolute lovely time. Went to Berjaya for our honeymoon and I can honestly say that Berjaya and Langkawi as a whole is a beautiful, romantic, and paradise-like place to visit. Hotel are very accomdating, friendly and always happy to go an extra mile for you. We got exec room on beach, waves did cause a lot of noise but both of us enjoyed this and infact helped us to get to bed. Occasionally saw the monkey near our room however no troubles from them whatsover. Cons: shuttle service from your room to main lobby is slightly slow and tedious, they should allow personel cars or motorbikes next to room, may work out better, however I do see why they don't allow this(pollution, little space). Beach was smaller than anticipated, and that meant less privacy for my and my wife. Occasional stray dogs were found on our morning walk. Good sports facilities, definitely recommended the doughnut ride. Overall- would love to come back despite cons mentioned as the pros most definitely overruled the cons. Peace to you all.

"New hotel right in Kuah Town."
All rooms come with private balcony, facing the sea or mountain. Get the higher floors to enjoy the splendid views. The spread for buffet breakfast is quite good. If you drive (which is recommended to access the various places around the island), there's plenty of parking spaces.

"Good villa, nice bed"
Got the hotel on promotion thus the price was very reasonable. The room was perfect, 1 queen and 1 single, and the bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning was working very well too. Bathroom was very nice designed, no shortage of hot water, with towels from big to small. Pity they did not replenish the soap and powder, but its easy to ask for more through room service. Breakfast wasn't fantastic though. Largely similar food over 2 days. Pool was very nice.

"Isolation in Langkawl"
Langkawl is great, but Tanjung Rhu gave us the full experience in isolation from the rest of it. Fantastic facilities, stunning beach & views, great food and every staff member could not do enough for us. What a great spot to switch off and ignore the the world (if you want to)...

"a resort with more"
A well located hotel with a beautiful clean beach including two pools two restaraunts and a spacious reception. The staff whether in the restaurants, by the pools, housekeeping staff and even the ground staff all friendly and smiles all the time. Although the restaurants offer good meals the close by village offers a good choice of restaraunts most serving excellent seafood. A resort that I would be very happy to recommend to friends and relatives.

    About Langkawi

Langkawi is the name of a 99-island archipelago situated 30kms west of northwest Malaysia near the country's border with Thailand. Only a couple of these islands are inhabited, Pulau Langkawi and the much smaller Pulau Tuba. Langkawi received its duty-free status in 1987 and was declared a UNESCO geopark 20 years later. Mangroves and limestone crags are the dominant landscapes of Tanjung Rhu, Pulau Langkawi's northern tip. Pantai Cenang, the archipelago's best known beach, is best seen from Oriental Village's famous Sky Bridge.

    Don’t Miss

Tanjung Rhu is the Langkawi beach where visitors are most likely to encounter clear water, but Pantai Cenang remains the island's busiest beach. Nearby Telaga Harbour includes the Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls, the secluded Pantai Kok beach, and Mat Cincang Mountain, whose peak can be reached by cable car.

Another attraction near Pantai Kok is the Asian-themed Oriental Village, which visitors can explore by segway or even on an elephant ride. Oriental Village's most popular attraction is the cable car leading to Gunung Mat and the Sky Bridge from which visitors can see as far as neighbouring Thailand.

Langkawi's best snorkelling and scuba diving is found in Pulau Payar Marine Park, which also features a scenic viewing platform. Popular boating tours include a traditional Malay sailing junk voyage to the Thai island of Koh Lipe, mangrove cruises, sunset dinner cruises aboard a boat with a saltwater hot tub, and several yacht charters. Jet-ski and helicopter tours are even more thrilling ways to explore Langkawi.

    Restaurants and Bars

Even though many Langkawi resorts include all meals in their packages, visitors are encouraged to go out for at least a few meals. Seafood restaurants are commonplace, but the cheapest meals are usually served at the small establishments near major roads. Nasi lemak, coconut milk and steamed rice served in a banana leaf, is a traditional Langkawi breakfast. Langkawi's tax-free archipelago still boasts Malaysia's cheapest alcohol. So you could have quite a bit of fun when night falls but do note, public drunkenness, however, is considered very impolite.

    Shopping

Langkawi's duty-free status makes shopping one of the archipelago's most popular pastimes. Tourists who stay longer than 48 hours can purchase up to 1 litre of alcohol, 200 cigarettes, and one portable electronic item each without duty. Cosmetics, clothing, souvenirs, and food are other commonly purchased duty-free items. Most duty-free shops are situated in Kuah or Pantai Cenang. The northeast coast is the location of Langkawi's largest handicrafts centre, Kompleks Budaya Kraf, well worth a visit.
