Only down side; they promised a double bed, but it were 2 twin beds
This was the most recent of several stays at Molengroet. On each occasion we have been made most welcome. The rooms are spacious (several with private balconies overlooking the park) and basic - but comfortable, always affording a good night's sleep. Breakfast is a treat, with a wide range of choice and the facilities offered by the hotel - bike hire, outdoor pool, EV charging (& petting zoo!) - are very much appreciated. The nearby Broek op Langedijk offers a wealth of places to eat. Broekerveiling is well worth a visit!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Molengroet. The weather was not wonderful, but the location of the hotel enables a whole variety of interesting excursions. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the meals were excellent - including the ample breakfast!
We really enjoy staying here! The food is quite expensive in the restaurant, but the portions are large and the quality is very good. The rooms are spacious - ours had a walk-in wet-room - and all the rooms have balconies. The staff could scarcely be more helpful. The hotel (at the entrance to a rather posh holiday chalet and camping ground) is well placed for a variety of interesting days out. We would recommend a visit to the fascinating museum in Langedijk, which is only a matter of 20 minutes away using the on-site bikes for hire. Electric bikes and electric scooters are also available for hire at the hotel. You may need to show your driving licence!
This is a nice place with a good restaurant. The breakfast was good.Nice and quiet.Wifi was good enough to Netflix and chill.Good coffee shop 15 minutes away rooms with a balcony.Loving it Brad from Austin Tx
Staff gave us a warm welcome and were most helpful despite the occasional language problems. Their English was rather more limited that I (perhaps wrongly) expected from people in Holland and our Dutch is virtually non-existent! One of the girls at reception took the trouble to give us free parking tips in nearby Alkmaar - and they turned out well. Meals in the evening were very good value and the included breakfast was varied and enjoyable - once again the breakfast staff were really attentive! We would certainly be keen to stay here again and make more of the local area!
