We went because we wanted to take our kids to the pool and himot tub over the weekend. That was the central focus of the trip. At first, we were told the pool area would be closed from 11/17- 11/19. Then, on Saturday the 20th, we were told the pool area would be open Sunday the 21st. Then, on Sunday, it still wasn't open.
went down on Saturday morning to address our frustrations about the situation and asked for a manager and was told the manager would be in by 11 a.m. and would call my friend (he left his name and number). After not receiving a call, he went down around 3 and the front desk representative said the manger was in a meeting until 5. At 5:20, my friend went again to speak with the manager and the rep. said she'd see if the manager was available. What she didn't know was that I was standing at the side of the check-in area where she walked and I could clearly hear her say "The guy with the black hat is back." After that, an Asian woman in her 50s(?) left (the manager?) and the rep told my friend that the manager was still busy and would call him back. The manager never called him. This lack of professionalism along with our main source of entertainment for the children not being available made this an incredibly frustrating trip. Had management acknowledged that the missing pool service was worth receiving compensation for our stay instead of hiding from us, Ballys could be a place for us to visit again.
