The 5 intake towers at Saluda Shoals Dam on Lake Murray (located Northwest of Columbia, SC). The dam is 1.7 miles long. The dam was the largest earthen dam in the world when completed in 1930 and the largest man-made lake in the world at that time. We live on this lake, about 10 miles by boat from the towers.

"This place was good the units felt like a mini suite. Beds were not too comfortable, felt like we were sinking in. Woke up with some back pain. The breakfast was great and free so that's a huge plus. However not so accommodating if you have any food allergies. They have adjoining rooms so if you have a family it's great. Ample parking. Right next to a cracker barrel and short drives to plenty of restaurants. Also a short drive to the city for some exploring. Some reviews have mentioned that the rooms felt dated. I completely disagree."
