"The rooms are perfect for the area's experience. The owner/ managers are very wonderful folks that go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. The beach access to Lake Superior is a great place to hang out after a day of hiking and site seeing in the Porkies (Porcupine Mountains Wilderness). I look forward to my next stay at the Sunshine Motel and Cabins."

"We staying for more than a week, in a clean, comfortable room with a nice view. I applaud the green concept of not changing towels each day. Housekeeping was responsible when we needed to change a bathmat, too. The staff were friendly and well-trained. The first night in the restaurant was chaotic, as they were understaffed and learning a new computer system. It was a long wait, but in a couple of days they were back on top of things. "

"A short drive to Copper Peak, which was the main purpose of our trip, this hotel was a wonderful stay. Room was adequate enough for our weekend and was fairly close to shops, gas stations, and decent food options! Would more than likely come stay here again when coming to visit the UP."
