"Visited hotel for our anniversary and had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect and near by all amenities. "Hotel was very clean generally and room was also very clean. Staff were helpful and polite. Pool and jaccuzi is nice addition. Location is right in the middle of the city centre with loads of Restaurants nearby.."

"The hotel is ideally situated - while not being in an immediately picturesque location, its proximity to the M6, A66 and Penrith North Lakes railway station make it the perfect base for exploring the beauty of the Lake District in one direction and Yorkshire in the other. "Great hosts very friendly, hotel is situated right on the edge of the nightlife area. Big breakfast great breakfast room. Close to all amenities. The Hotel is an old converted town house with all the rooms upstairs. Big wide staircases no lift. The pub next door has a good selection of food at reasonable prices. We enjoyed our stay. ."

"It’s hard to comment properly as we arrived late in the dark but even still the staff on the desk were so friendly greeting us, and super helpful and understanding when I realised I’d made a mistake with the booking. It’s lovely and quiet despite being so close to the motorway. Immediately put at ease and reassured that it’s a great place to stay, even if as it is for us just an overnight stopover mid journey. "

"Ideal picturesque setting looking over lake windermere. Food excellent both nights and excellent value. Good choice of wine. Walking around area and saw 2 deer, lots of baby rabbits. friendly helpful staff. Lovely building. pool jacuzzi perfect. "

"Overall lovely stay! Very peaceful and relaxing. We had a balcony with the best view of the lake! Amazing! The grounds were lovely also. The man at the desk was very lovely, friendly and helpful. However, they desperately need poo bag bins! It’s a great hotel for dogs and there were no restrictions, however there were no bins at all to put the poo bags which was very annoying. But apart from that no issues. "
