"The Mark Spencer Hotel has a friendly staff. There is a 5pm complimentary Wine hour and on Saturdays there is a 1 man band Jim ? He was unique and very gifted a joy to be entertained by. The room we stayed in had a kitchenette and a king size bed that was very comfortable. The bathroom was very well laid out and upscale with a excellent rainshower no lack of water pressure. The hotel is just around the block from the Ritz Carlton and there are a lot of choices to eat and have a drink. Unfortunately Portland has a homeless and drug community that lives on the streets near by. But you can not escape them since they are all over the city. We invariably give small donations to some of them since it is a sad sad sight to see the suffering. I would stay here again."

"I went here for a place to stay and to park my car after a concert at moda center. It serves that purpose and it was cheap enough but the bed is what you would expect for a cheap hotel and it is on a main road so I woke up frequently from road noise and loud banging for some reason, I'm assuming it was the max or something. There was also some guy yelling all morning. None of that is the hotel's fault, just saying if you actually need rest it might not be the best choice but you can't beat that price or the free parking. "
