This property is unique, we absolutely loved it It is a perfect location and the staff are fabulous and really helpful If you are expecting a 4 star hotel this is not it, but if you want to stay in a place that has so much old world charm and character then this is the place for you, absolutely fabulous

City Central. Just front of waterfront.

Located at heart of Kuching. Just opposite waterfront. Lots of happening there and many shops at surrounding. Old building and old furniture, but clean.

Overall, this place is worth considering if you are looking for an affordable stay in a prime location on the waterfront. However, the property and room condition reflects the lower price with the room and bathroom being a bit dirty. Pros: location, price, walkability, proximity to food and stores, good AC, clean comfortable bed Cons: the room is incredibly dated and peeling. The room is also not that clean. It was clear that the bathroom had not been cleaned. The ensuite bathroom also was not fully separated by a wall which didn't make sense. However, the bed sheets were clean so we stayed.

the WiFi is not user friendly... very complicated.have signal in the room, but when come to the lobby no signal... cannot Grab. no choice took a taxi which cost us twice the Grab price. Room 119 that we were given.the aircon is not working...

Very basic and old but very clean and everything is nearby. waterfront and parkson and lau ya keng food court and india street and museums. The front staff is so helpful. They will help you to plan the trip.I will come back here for sure.Thank you so much.

Basic but clean

We enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse/lodge. Very friendly atmosphere. Very basic but clean. Tea/coffee/toast/jam included in stay. Air con needs replacing - some days it worked, other days not. Location is excellent. Right on the waterfront. Lots of steep steps to the room!!

On the river. Lovely old building. Pretty basic really but very friendly and welcoming. There are a fair number of restaurants within a 10 minute walk.

Hôtel bien situé

Hôtel sur le waterfront donc très bien situé. La chambre est assez spacieuse et propre. Le lit était un peu dur. c’est un hôtel assez vieillot et en même temps avec plusieurs attraits pièces de collection. Déjeuner simple de toast et café ou thé. Excellent rapport qualité prix.

Nice budget hotel at the waterfront

Very beautiful old Chinese house - looks much much bigger from the inside :) Basic accommodation with clean rooms and bathrooms. Right in the middle of the waterfront - with all you need at 5-10mins walking distance. Basic bfast, but they warn you abt this in advance, so it ok. Very nice and helpful stuff! Perfect for local and budget accommodation.

Location!!

We loved the location right on the waterfront! This is more of a hostel/guesthouse and we stayed in one of the private rooms. This was good with us, but want people to know. Everyone was very friendly and helpful!

Basic but good

After having to change rooms a couple of times, we ended up in a basic but nice room. The staff were great and helpful. The lodge could do with a few fix-ups and then it would be much better eg. shower heads that don't leak; toilet doors that close properly; breakfast just a bit more substantial than just toast and bananas (the butter was old and tainted); verandah windows that work properly. If they fixed up a few things they would get more business and could charge a bit more money and everyone would be happy. It has become tired and does not look like the photo on Wotif. Overall, because of the staff, we enjoyed our stay.

Quaint traditional style lodge with character like the photos. But for not much more you can get a room in a 4 star Kuching Hotel with lots of facilities and big breakfast. Breakfast was instant coffee and toast.
