Beautiful quiet resort with a great view, great staff, good food and everything is good here. Will stay here again as it is very peaceful and beautiful grounds.
Absolutely stunning hotel with a 100/10 view from our beachfront room balcony. The scenery was breathtaking, and the property itself is beautiful. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Special mention to the lady at the front desk during check-in, who was so warm, welcoming, and always had a smile on her face.
The food was amazing. The Gang Som was hands down the best I've had and was definitely a highlight of the trip. The only downside was the large number of flies in the restaurant. It was quite annoying during both breakfast and dinner, and I hope the hotel can find a solution to improve the dining experience.
Another area for improvement is the boat transfer management. As many reviews have mentioned, the boat ride costs THB 800 per trip. At checkout, there were already four of us waiting (our group of two and another group of two). The staff informed us that more guests would be checking out soon, so we waited for an hour, but no one else came. If complimentary ferry service isn't possible, better coordination of boat transfers would be greatly appreciated. such as grouping departures around common checkout times such as 11 AM and 12 PM could help guests avoid long waits and unnecessary costs.
Other than these points, everything else was 10/10. I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you're travelling with a larger group, as sharing the boat transfer makes it much more convenient and cost-effective.
We loved our stay at Tinidee! Our favourite hotel in Thailand so far. The staff were so friendly and service was excellent. The food and cocktails were very good. Our beachfront cabana was wonderful. Such a beautiful scenic location still close to everything, we would love to stay here again!
One of my favourite places ive stayed to date. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are fabulous and spacious. They have filtered water foe drinking in the room. And lots of relaxing vignettes. Its a stunning property.
WOW! This property is in the most beautiful location I’ve ever seen. Breathtaking views. Delicious free breakfast. Walk to Railay beach next door for an unreal beach day with soft sand and warm water. This place is magical!!
The bed was amazing!!! The food was good and although more expensive than in town, it wasn’t overpriced. Only annoyance was that the bed sheets were supposed to be changed every other day and we stayed for 3 nights and they were never changed. It was like 10pm when we got into get and noticed.

The property was amazing, the staff were wonderful, the only problem was the transportation to the resort… we had to take long boat transportation and the tide gets low in the afternoons so if you wanted to hang out at other beaches you had to come back early because then no longboats can take you… if u choose to stay there all of your stay then great but if you want to venture around then not recommended.. plus the long tail taxi men are rude and rushing you to get out and can cause you to get injured like I did… but the property itself and staff was amazing
Very unique location and rustic. I liked it’s a small resort for mostly adults, so it was quiet and relaxing. We were in the family unit which did feel like camping with lockers for closets and the bigger cement wall bathroom with fans. Grateful for air conditioning in the bedroom unit. The master bedroom mattress was quite hard, not very comfortable. But the view from the front and back windows were amazing.
Pros:
- Secluded from major touristy areas
- Rooms are great
- Bed was super comfortable
- Nice nature / surrounding area
Cons:
- Service (unresponsive upon arrival / throughout the stay, house keeping did not take dirty dishes, towels or trash)
- You are secluded (also a major pro, but worth noting that if you are hoping to leave at night, not possible & pretty challenging to leave / explore during the day as well unless you are willing to pay the boat drivers double)
Overall, this place did not have a good value for us. I think we would have had equal amenities/service at a hostel. It was fine but we would not book again.
Oh wow! Anne and I caught ourselves saying this over and over, either walking around the property or on our deck. Beauty was everywhere. Colors, sounds, nature.
We were on our honeymoon, no one knew, no one suspected (we are in our 60s) but everyone here treated us like they all knew. Just the most peaceful people to be around. We were there for 7 nights, and that was too short of a stay!
The room was exceptional. Clean! Spacious! Plenty of space. We had a shared unit, but we were separated by a thick wall, so never heard anybody else, just seen in passing. Our side was very well laid out. Glass on 3 sides (heavy curtains :) in the bedroom, and a spacious shower/bathroom area. Tinidee has filtered water for drinking, something we didn't have in Bangkok, so a nice surprise. Glass was so clean that I always had to be careful to not walk into them.
We sat outside on our covered deck often, rain or shine. And enough room of to hang our clothes on their foldout drying rack. We were directly facing the beach several units away from the pool. So peaceful and quiet. Except for the Mynah birds whom we came to know and love.
Traveling in November, 2024, the weather was fantastic. A few drizzles. Great air conditioning! Breakfast was very nice and peaceful, and dinner here is excellent. No crowds! We walked to Railay Beach. Ugh. Crowds.
Tonsai Beach also has the back loop for wonderful bars and food. The coolest vibe outside of Jamaica I've ever witnessed.
Thank you!!!!
The scenery is amazing, so I am giving one extra star for that... but otherwise this place could definitely be better for the price.
1) They did not provide any towels, coffee, etc the next day.
2) The shower doesn't drain very well.
3) One of the two water glasses in the room fell over and broke (because all floors and counters are concrete), and then they never replaced it.
4) The main dishes they had for breakfast didn't have vegetarian options. The first day, the sign said "vegetable noodles" but was wrong, and had big chunks of chicken in it. Also, much of the breakfast food was tepid, sitting out at room temperature.
5) The wifi and power sometimes went out (a big problem when it affects the AC!)
6) You have to walk around the grounds quite a bit, and there are dangerous pieces of garbage/industrial detritus around, like rusty metal hidden in the grass.
7) People go to the pool and "stake a claim" on the sun loungers by putting their towels there, selfishly reserving them for themselves all day, even though they aren't there.
8) Food and drinks are twice the price of nearby places in Tonsai or Railay
9) I had to cancel the last night of our stay, because the boats required to get here don't leave early enough to catch morning flights. I tried to change reservation weeks in advance, and they wouldn't change it (despite "free cancellation" policy) so I had to pay over 5000 baht for a night I wasn't even there.

Everything was excellent, could not fault it. One of our best hotel stays ever.
Tinidee Hideaway Railay honestly felt like the definition of escaping from the world for a few days. The beachfront bungalow was incredible — waking up to that view every morning genuinely never got old. The whole setting is stunning, with jungle behind you and the beach right in front, so it feels peaceful and tucked away from the busier tourist areas.
The staff were absolutely lovely throughout our stay; friendly, welcoming and always helpful. The restaurant food was also really good and very reasonably priced considering the location.
There was always bottled water stocked in the fridge, and the hotel provides a water purifier too, meaning you have a constant supply of safe drinking water
One thing worth knowing before booking and this isn’t a criticism of the hotel at all, just something travellers should be aware of is that the resort is only accessible by boat. If you want to head out to other areas regularly, you’ll realistically be paying around 800 baht for a private boat transfer unless you’re happy waiting around for others to share with, which we found didn’t happen very often.
Also… the mosquitoes are NO joke because of the jungle surroundings 😂 Bring strong repellent with DEET unless you want to become dinner yourself.
One recommendation for anyone staying here: definitely explore the little local bars and restaurants just behind the resort via the road alongside the cliffs. Places like Mama’s Chicken gave us some of our favourite meals of the trip

Breakfast was tasty but same everyday. Vegan option available upon request - vegetable fried rice… every day.
Reception staff is nice but useless - they delayed our departure with long check out and only offered travelling advice when we were leaving.
Amazing beach in a surreal setting. The property can use a bit more maintenance. The room was great, and the food was delicious. Breakfast could have had a few more options.
Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff, room was great. I wish we had more time to spend there. Will be going back soon. Would be great for a couple’s vacation.
