Excellent service, fantastic onsen/bathhouse. We prefer to stay at Dormy's as their amenities are excellent. At this stay we had no overnight bag packed, Dormy provides toothbrushes, pajamas, amenities in the onsen. Come as you are!

The rooms are tiny but that is to be expected for a hotel close to the station. Breakfast was a curry rice, very basic but due to the corona virus so no complaints. The hot spring bath is very nice.

A cozy staying with nice on-sen and breakfast
Very reasonable price and nice environment and staff. Even I found a notice in the lift telling that free duck noodle was offered before midnight to take care of your stomach! But I bought myself a tuna roll from the nearby supermarket and did not taste it. A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED staying place. The only criticism is the fridge in the room needing extra payment.

Good hotel, pleasant and welcoming staff, very good breakfasts, handy for the train station. Recommend the larger traditional Japanese rooms if more than one person, as much more spacious.

I would recommend this hotel. Good pricing. It was clean, and it's also very close to the Koriyama station which is a big plus. The only down side is the single pillow they leave for you.

Best value hotel chain.
The Dormy Inn brand is a customer first service rich hospitality company that gives you so much value that there’s no reason to stay anywhere else. There is a hot tub spa, sauna, late night free noodles, massage services, laundry, and great breakfasts. The locations are truly convenient in the most desirable urban centers for a very great and reasonable price.

Hotel onsen had two medium-sized baths, three lounge bath seats, a small cold bath, and a sauna. Very nice for an inexpensive hotel. Staff were friendly, helpful, and some spoke English. Short walk from the train station and numerous restaurants. Would stay here again.

The Koriyama Dormy Inn is located about 2 blocks from the exit of the main Koriyama train station. As such, it's very convenient. The staff were especially helpful to me, as I arrived too early for check in, but they allowed me to easily store my backpack until it was time to check in. The staff also was AMAZING at assisting me in general information about Koriyama (where to eat, what to do, etc), and very friendly overall. The room was normal for Japan - spotlessly clean, and well maintained. The hotel also has an expansive onsen contained inside, and that was wonderful to enjoy both in the morning and late at night, especially after a long day. Koriyama is a working city, but has much to offer. Dormy Inn I would highly recommend staying at, as it's convenient, secure, clean and offers the wonderful onsen.

Great location and service!
Staff was super helpful, as I needed help with a ski bus reservation. Since the reservation site was intended only for Japanese, they required my name in Katakana! Awesome location next to train station with many good restaurants nearby. II was using this base camp for a ski weekend and the onsen was really comforting after a long day of skiing.

Nice hotel for an overnight stay.
The hotel was close to the train station, which is what we were looking for, but wouldn't want to stay there for a longer time. The rooms are very clean & neat, but extremely small rooms for two people. We we're looking for location & cleanliness & we got that. The employees were helpful & kind like the Japanese culture is with visitors.

Next to JR station - convenient and comfortable.
Situated nearby JR Koriyama station. From 2nd floor exit, folllow overhead walkway multi-storey car park at end. Catch lift to ground then walk around the corner to hotel. Signage is easy to see from the station. Hotel staff were quite friendly and English okay. As with Dormy, guests can walk around in hotel top/pants and slippers. Free "singing" soba noodles each night from 9:30-10:30pm. The hotel has a very nice onsen with natural look/feel. Remember to bring towel from guest room. Landry machine is for free and clothes dryer is coin opetated (100¥ / 30 mins). The washing machines and dryers also have locks in case guests are concerned about their laundry being taken. Being in Japan, I don't think this is an issue. Didn't have time for sightseeing though I did make a day trip to Aizu-Wakamatsu for castle viewing. There is a novelty tea train that runs on the JR line between Koriyama and Aizu-Wakamatsu. Not sure if the JR pass covers this though it looks like a nice way to enjoy high tea on a local train. I'm sure the tourist info office can explain the mechanism. Definitely seemed popular for tetchan (train enthusiasts). Not sure if I would describe Koriyama as a tourist town though centrally located for day trips throughout the region. Dormy Inn certainly helped with it's convenient location being less than 5 mins walk from JR station. The station also has a nice standing noodle shop to get a warming bowl of udon/soba for less than 500 ¥ before catching the train

Nicer hotel I've stayed in in Japan!
Hotel was exactly as I expected. I come from the United States and am used to large hotel rooms, however this hotel was very Japanese. The bed was about half of the room and the other half was a tiny walking space between the room door and the bathroom door. The room looked a little more expensive than the super cheap Japanese hotels (flimsy furniture, etc.). The onsen (hot springs) has very nice hours and is a VERY nice free addition to this hotel! Also, the hotel didn't tell me this before, but it was a nice surprise when I arrived: free soba (noodles) delivered to your room upon request.

Downstairs onsen was a nice touch
A couple of nights in this place was great. There's not much to do in Koriyama but it was so close to the station. There are free noodles each night and the onsen is wonderful!
