The apartment was fine, unfortunately poorly managed. We arrived at 3.05pm (confirmed and regular check in being 3pm), after a long flight and also after spending time in the city, to ensure we do not arrive early, just to find that the apartment was not ready. The cleaning lady told us to take it up with management, since she will not be done with the room for another 20 minutes. After contacting the rental management company, we got the reply to be patient, they are working on getting us into the apartment asap. Nothing happened, the only cleaning lady on site took her time and we finally got into the room at 3.45pm.
On the second morning of our stay we were awaken at 7.30am by the the ceiling mounted smoke alarm. There was no smoke, so it was a false or malfunctioning alarm. There was no way to silence it since it was a model with absolutely no buttons. Upon contacting management again, they advised to use a button combination to silence it...;-) After explaining there's no buttons, they again asked us to be patient, since they're working on it... Meanwhile the neighbours on our floor woke up and started asking what's going on. Eventually, after 20 minutes, the alarm was silenced remotely.
Overall, our stay was a mixed experience: room not ready for check in, nice apartment with some issues (see the smoke alarm wake-up described above), good location if you have a car, quiet and safe neighbourhood.
To sum up, I would not recommend a stay with Blue Mountain Apartments.
