"This a was a large condo building on the water. There was plenty of parking and a security guard on premises. Every door uses a pass code to get in like room, pool, elevator, stairs ect. There are some people that use these condos for winter months. It was located close to downtown kona. "

"Beautiful resort, incredible location, gorgeous grounds, comfortable room, friendly staff, pretty much the whole package! I cannot recommend the Royal Kona Resort enough. Thank you for everything! Definitely try their restaurant and mai tai bar as well. My partner and I loved it there! "

"Did not have a “to go” breakfast available and we had to check out well before breakfast hours to catch a flight. "

"The elevators were both broken and the stairwell reminded me of LAX. We got up to our hall which was like a prison hall with a coat of paint. The room was the size of a closet with a view of a telephone pole with a big transformer mounted on it. While some modern touches made the room look nice online, it smelled like mildew and wet dog. When we went to the front desk, we were told there was no manager to help us and dismissed. DO NOT STAY HERE!"

"The property itself was fine. I didnt like that they left opened condiments and a water bottle in the refrigerator. Or that the sink pop up didnt work, or what looks like mold developing on the shower liner. But you get what you pay for, so it is what it is. My plane changed after booking so I had to extend my time with a late checkout, which I paid almost a whole day for to check out at 5 pm instead of 10 am. "We really enjoyed our stay at Mango Sunset Bed and Breakfast. The temporary property managers, Gene and Kriss, made us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. They did a wonderful job of creating different breakfast dishes each day. And they used a lot of ingredients from the farm. Very peaceful retreat. We highly recommend."

"Breakfast was wonderful! Don’t be in a hurry! I was leary when I arrived in the dark…but fell in love with the place in the daylight! It was a great adventure! No glass windows…only screens. The frogs were loud…but slept so good! If you like noise machines, you will love it! The bedroom had a fan if needed. They had beach equipment to borrow if wanted. "Kona is too citify we want a more rural surroundings "

"Mostly very clean, except sliding glass doors. Would have cleaned myself but no cleaning materials on site. Wanted to love this place. We have stayed in other units but were delighted to find a first floor unit. The good: well equipped, comfortable, plenty of towels, and beach stuff. Nice patio area.
