"It was right off the highway. Well lit and felt safe. Breakfast was fresh and had a good options There were some very loud guests one night but the front desk told them to quiet down which worked. The swimming pool was somewhat small and cloudy The gym was very basic treadmills bike machine free weights"

"The breakfast had so many options. There was a choice of oatmeal, waffles, cereal, fruit, sausage, potatoes etc. The location couldn't be more perfect for people who are visiting the strong museum. The pool area was very clean as were the rooms. The area surrounding the hotel seemed to be "up and coming". It felt super safe. Will definitely stay here again."

"Not only was it super clean. The staff was very friendly The beds were comfortable only wish the pillows were bigger. Other than that it was perfect. Will definitely be coming back."

"My room was so lovely, with a comfortable bed, a nice view of the city, very clean, and quiet. It's a great location for exploring the city - walkable to good restaurants (I loved La Bola), the GeVa Theater, Planetarium, and many good coffee shops (Albunn was fantastic). This hotel just has so much more character than a chain. Highly recommend! "

"We were not told in advance that the hotel was undergoing renovations and were put on a floor that was 90% being renovated. Front desk was almost always vacant of welcoming personnel. If I wanted something, I would have to call out. The room we were given was much in need of renovation: window was missing a pane that made outside noise seem like the window was open; the air conditioner was very noisy and did not work properly once we were able to turn it on; there were no hooks near sink and...

"The breakfast could use so help. Eggs watery, our room was clean but had food crumbs under cushion of chair and no blinds on window. Staff said they would have maintenance put them back up but didn’t which left street lights shine in at night. Other than that I would stay there again"

"Our stay at S31 was great. The building is incredible and the rooms are modernized, but still have the original woodwork. The Village gate is close with great restaurants and boutique shops. The neighborhood is full of history and a great place to take a late night walk. Although there is not currently a dining area at the property, they have great snack options for enjoying in the room and great local wines. "We had a wonderful time. The kids loved the pool. The man kept it very clean. My favorite was the breakfast. The lady preparing it kept the areas clean and food fresh. Fitness room> A1. They provide earbuds if you dont have your own. Overall wonderful experience. Not one complaint. Will be booking here everytime we are in Rochester. Thank you guys so much. "
