Breakfasts and dinners were good and the lounge/dining room was a comfortable place to relax after riding. It was great value for the money. "Paul and his wife are lovely and breakfast is fine. The problem is the hotel is cold and people are getting sick. The coughing from both adjoining walls was really horrible. The problem is the central heating is broken (how long for?) and only heating is small split system reverse cycle air conditioners in each room and 2 portable gas heaters in dining and one in lounge. This is ok for spring or summer but not -10c Hakuba winter. Paul did bring me Kerosene portable heater (can run 3 hours only...

"We stayed 6 nights at hakuba house with Grant and his team. The room was comfortable especially the bed. Bathroom was tiny but that's common in japan. The breakfasts were great and the dinners excellent when we couldn't be bothered to go out. The hotel offers dinner drop off's which is great and there are plenty of places to eat within a 15-20min walk home. Location is good and if your a good skier cab ski in/out. If not it's only a short walk to the slope. "
