"Staff were really accommodating when we needed to change rooms. At the last minute. They also offered great room service. The beds were very comfortable and a good sleep was had by us both. The breakfast was served hot with a full English and eggs Benedict was excellent."

Despite complaining and asking to move rooms, the solution was to give me some room spray that failed to mask the smell and just made it worse… As I result I barely slept and I have gone to office the next day exhausted and smelling of stale smoke. "We had a really enjoyable stay at the Grand Hotel and would definitely return. Our room was exceptionally clean and clearly very well prepared—Kannika had done a fantastic job getting everything ready for our arrival. The room itself looked recently refurbished, with a fresh and modern feel that made it very comfortable. Despite being in the city centre, which can be quite noisy at night, we slept incredibly well. The windows did a great job of blocking out the outside noise, and we had two wonderfully restful nights with no disturbance from other guests either. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the service made it even better. The lady who served us, I believe her name was Anya, was delightful—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant, which made the experience even more enjoyable. There was a small inconvenience during our stay as the main lift wasn’t working, meaning we had to use the back lift. However, the reception team handled this very kindly by waiving the parking fee, which we really appreciated. It’s clear that the hotel is in the process of being updated. The main entrance and restaurant have been refurbished to a very high standard, while some areas like the corridors and staircases are still undergoing improvements. That said, this didn’t impact our stay at all, especially given how comfortable and well-finished our room was. Overall, a very positive experience—we would happily stay here again"

Popped into the city in the morning for coffee, nowhere was open at 6:45 so popped to the bar and they kindly made me an amazing cappuccino. Lots of loud supercars running around outside the hotel but we didn't hear them in the end."
