"Beautiful property in lovely countryside. The room was spacious and clean with good facilities provided. The bar was well stocked and the food lovely, although a little pricey, especially the children’s meal! Breakfast was fab with a great choice and cooked to order so was piping hot on arrival. Went to Kielder winter wonderland so this was an ideal stay as only 10mins drive away. Would definitely recommend."

"We can not fault anything, it was absolutely beautiful, we stayed in the gatehouse room which was incredible and extremely comfortable, the inn it’s self is so cosy and it’s definitely the friendliest inn that we have been in, the food was 10 out 10 the views from the beer garden where beautiful, the staff where so lovely and nothing is too much for them, they just want to look after you. " Nice little stopover on our drive from Speyside to London. Room above the hotel which was clean and had everything required. Food/drink in the bar well priced and tasty and busy place it was too. Service excellent from all staff-no issues at all although busy little town so finding a parking place was the tricky part!!"

"We had a warm welcome on a very rainy February day. Our room was warm and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was really good. The weather stopped us visiting the Observatory, which was a shame. We will definitely visit again at a different time of year, as the hotel is well placed to visit places of interest. "

"Great property, clean, excellent master bedroom, well equiped, brilliant location and in a peaceful spot, however the hot tub stopped working / went to standby mode and couldnt be used so felt like the one main reason we booked this property and couldnt use it. The stairs are very steep and were difficult to go up and down. Ideal for kielder and surrounding areas. "

"Accurately advertised. You can literally see a mile castle on Hadrian’s Wall from your room. Beautiful country views. A problem with our heat was addressed immediately. Excellent dinner choices and service in the cozy pub. "
