"Great location with lots of shopping nearby. Very trendy area. Shout out to the coffee stand opposite the hotel - we visited everyday.
However it's an apartment so you are expected to keep the place clean. We didn't use the loft at all because it felt flimsy and tiny for bigger sized people. We just slept on the sofa bed and created a makeshift sleeping area in the living room. Heating on the first floor is poor. We were quite cold during the winter."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are really small but the bathrooms are really clean and have this great 2 headed shower. 1 is a waterfall head and the other is a wand. Also the rooms hallway were motion activated. They also have laundry which was really nice not bring home a bunch of dirty laundry."

"Nice hotel with riverside view. They also provide complimentary high tea to our room. Only thing I can comment about the room is too many doors which makes it a little weird and killing the space. "

"Services of front desk staff are excellent and commendable. They are not only courteous, responsive but also very helpful. For some reasons, we need a room closer to the lift and the staff kindly arranged the room for me. As it was too early for check in, I left my luggage there and surprisingly the staff already helped me placing the luggage in room for our check in and it was only 1pm. As we departed the hotel, we asked for their help to call a taxi. The lady at front desk guided us (and carrying our luggage) to the street to call a taxi. It was patchy rain at that time. Overall, the GATE hotel excels from the room and amenities to services. We will stay at this hotel again in our next visit."
"We reserved two 3-people rooms for 4 peoples. Each room has plenty space for 2 people. The toilet and shower have separate rooms. In addition, the bathtub and washer/dryer in the bathroom are add-on bonus."
"Courteous staff, as is always the case in Japan. Had to get this room on the fly as there was a snafu with another hotel I booked. I was able to find an available room. The hotel was perfect for my needs. Clean, centrally located in Fukuoka, laundry room, gym, and well worth what I paid."
