"Datai is a unique hotel. Mostly hidden in rainforest the villas are quiet and secluded and the service is excellent.Our beach villa had everything, enormous living area, seperate bedroom area, pool and beautiful gardens. Datai beach is just through the garden gate, safe swimming and at this time of year we were often the only ones in the water. Our "butler" Nazif did everything for us, presenting afternoon tea, organising dining arrangements, buggies and much more. It was hard to find a reason to leave our haven other than to eat. Big thank you Nazif. The 4 restaurants were all excellent offering a wide variety of cuisine and the happy, friendly staff were always keen to look after you. The Datai is up there as the overall, best hotel we have experienced in all our travels."
