Kampar Hotels with Restaurants

"Location was great - 15 mins walk into the old town (with some good places of interest en route) and for the evening - the area has many fabulous cafes and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The whole hotel is really arty and chilled. Our room (102) was large and comfortable and the bathroom was amazing. There was a choice of local or western breakfast each morning with lots of PG tips!! Would definitely go back. We walked the whole of Ipoh twice over during our stay and agreed that our hotel was in the best location!"

"This hotel is really interesting and quirky but its location in the middle of 10 car yards and rooms 110, 220, 310 upwards being on a major road into Ipoh makes it untenable unless you’re deaf. Honestly we found from dusk until 4am the noise from trucks, loud motorbikes and traffic to be unbearable and I am 60% deaf in one ear. "

Also a big thank you to Jagjeet for placing the slice of birthday cake in our room so that i may surprise my best friend on her birthday! I would also like to commend the housekeeping team for the birthday decorations as well as maintaining the room in impeccable condition. "Nice hotel, very strategically located. The restaurant has variety food to cater for all. Word of caution for the Biryani served at adjacent joint. The egg they give you is really bad."

"The overall cleanliness of the room was below acceptable standards. The furniture was poorly maintained and felt outdated, as if sourced from second-hand stores many years ago. The in-room safe was not functioning properly. Breakfast was extremely disappointing. The food was cold, the selection was very limited, and birds were eating directly from the buffet tables, which raised serious hygiene concerns. We dined at three different restaurants during our stay, and the food quality was consistently low. The professionalism of the service staff was also lacking. On one occasion, I observed staff carrying food with their thumbs inside the bowls, directly touching the food. Service was difficult due to communication issues. Several waiters avoided eye contact when we tried to request items, and some did not speak English, making basic interactions challenging. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its beautiful location and breathtaking landscape. Unfortunately, this alone does not compensate for the poor standards in cleanliness, food quality, and service. I cannot recommend this hotel."
