The great hotel was recently built and very modern, clean, safe, relaxing and comfortable. It’s in a good location and we had an amazing view of the active Sakurajima volcano. The only negative experience we had came after staying four nights on the Executive Club floor we had to check out at 7am to catch a taxi to the airport. As the Executive Floor food service didn’t start until 7am, we wanted to eat in the Daily Social restaurant that opens at 6:30am. However, we were told we would have to pay extra to do that even though free breakfast was included in our four night reservation. We didn’t like that.

It is difficult to find a spot to stay in the Kagoshima area: near the Shinkansen station area vs. near the onsen/airport area. This is near the Shinkansen station area. For what I want to see, including Sakurajima and the garden, this was very good.

Very new and convenient hotel

This is the Sheraton that’s why we chose. It’s very new one and its room is very comfortable, and “Sakura-Jima” view from the room is beautiful and lovely. Breakfast buffet is nice but too crowded which is only the point I don’t like.

Probably the best place to stay in Kagoshima. Room, view and on-site onsen. Food options in the hotel were upscale in quality and price (expensive) but there were many other more reasonable options close enough, including a grocery store.
