"Absolutely disgusting place. Unhygienic and unsafe for a child/ any family. It instantly smelt of rats and it was clear the apartment had not been cleaned. Multiple dead animals were found, including cockroaches in the shower. The utensil cupboard, which smelt horrendous, was clear that rats were living in there as multiple rat droppings would appear daily. "Our 2nd stay at this hotel and can only say great things about it. The rooms, location, food (especially the breakfasts), and I could go on, were all excellent! Most importantly, the staff, be they room service, restaurant or bar, front desk or poolside were fantastic and made us feel very welcome and cared for during our stay. We will be back again!"

"The Trans Resort Bali is a five-star hotel at a great price. It is fully centered around a large pool, and large sand pool. It has a huge restaurant ("The Restaurant") that has a solid breakfast buffet. The quality of the food here is above-average for Bali, but doesn't quite meet five-star quality. The rooms are spacious, and many have outdoor jetted bathtubs. The sliding doors don't have screens, and they aren't air tight. This means that you will periodically smell smoke from nearby cooking/trash fires, and the rooms are louder than those found in most modern 4 and 5-star hotels. The spa was closed for the month of June for roof repairs, but I had a massage in a converted room on the ground floor (which was quite noisy as it is next to a kids play area). All of the front desk staff were smiling and helpful! Most of the restaurant staff were great as well. For the price, this is almost a five-star experience!"
