The property is beautifully set on a cliff. The pools are lovely. Breakfast is very good Transportation could be problematic as they don't allow Grab(Indonesia's Uber) to pick up and the hotel's rates for Transportation are triple. Friendly staff.

The views from the pool and restaurant were amazing. The best sunsets. Lovely food and lovely staff. A perfect hotel to relax in and although it wasn’t walkable to restaurants the hotel has a shuttle bus which was great.

we arrived and there was maintenance work being done on the villa beside us. I asked to be moved but the rooms the available room was not nice. we were moved the next day. we were given a voucher for inconvenience. Manager was not available to talk to us or didn't respond to a message. Communication on this would have been appreciated..

Very Disappointing
Very unbalinese attitude from the hotel eg 1. Kettle in the bedroom with coffe and tea supplied but no milk or powdered milk-if you wanted milk they charged you the same price as a cup of tea or coffee from the restaurant. 2. Unhelpful reception staff with no idea what there is to do locally. 3. Plenty of waiters around trying to sell drinks during ordinary hours-they disappeared during happy hour. 4. I was leaving the hotel at 7:30am so settled up my bill at 10pm the night before. They insisted on coming straight round and emptying the minibar and taking away with them, making me feel untrustworthy and like a thief: they had an impression of my credit card so why do it? 5. When I settled up my bill I paid in cash. They did not have the correct change to give me and insisted that it was me that should be shortchanged-ridiculous. 6.they insist there are an eco friendly hotel yet they are perfectly happy to allow smoking in the restaurant-which May be legal in Bali but it is frankly a disgusting habit and shouldn’t be allowed in restaurants out of courtesy to the vast majority of clients, who don’t smoke.

A beautiful spot
A fab stay with an amazing private pool. It's a beautiful setting. There isn't too much around but after a long haul flight we were happy to just chill and get over the jet lag. The food wasn't the best and we would have preferred more local options.

The hotel location on a cliff is amazing with a great ocean view! They had comfortable outside seatings where you can enjoy the sunset. We stayed for our honeymoon and had a relaxing time in La Joya Biu Biu! One point that needs to be fixed is the issue with their credit card machine, which was very inconvenient. If you are staying you better bring cash. For the price, the view, and to enjoy the sea breeze we highly recommend this hotel. Many families with kids as well.

Great stay
This is a great hotel with nice private beach. I have always enjoyed staying here. Unfortunately the pool area was being renovated during our stay and not fully available. The spa was great. Best spa location in Bali right on the cliff

We enjoyed the integration of nature and the hotel views. The only downside was that it was away from restaurants and other attractions and therefore we needed a motorcycle to get around

Pretty resort let down by dirty loo n lousy staff
Beautiful property and local area. The pool area and the private beach are the star. As the resort is remote, you can see stars if clouds are absent. It is quiet and very relaxing. These are the downsides: - (1) Food is very average the hotel but the prices are low too. (2) Cocktails are terrible but the prices are low too. (3) Room cleaniness is average. (4) Room's bathroom cleaniness is bad. There is a moudly smell when the ventilation fan is on. It is puke inducing. (5) Shower stall is filthy and very dirty and smelly. I asked for a change of room with small improvement (6) Staff service is bad. I had the Do Not Disturb sign up. And I was disturbed when I was very very intimate with my wife. The staff knocked on the door and persisted for a minute until I had to cut short my intimacy and opened the door. Turned out that the staff only wanted to check the mini bar. This is absolutely nonsense. Overall I regret booking La Joya as the service and toilet cleaniness are terrible. It is a pity because it has one of the most beautiful resort grounds.

I do think the property was beautiful. But, the AC didn't work in our room - #12 - and the overhead shower head didn't either so it was just the side one spilling water all over and made it an uncomfortable experience. The staff were great and as I said, it's a beautiful, peaceful property. The food is amazing but the prices come with a ridiculous 21% tax. Make sure to come with your own car or scooter because the taxi prices are also horrendous and Grab/Go-Jek won't come to the property either. I guess if you don't mind spending a bit more money it's not a issue.

Stylish Bunaglow Suite
I have stayed in over 10 places in Bali and our bunaglow suite was one of my absolute favorites. The view is beautiful, private swimming pool, and very spacious, stylish bunaglow. I highly recommend the Mexican tacos as a pool side snack! My only compliant is that directly beside our bunaglow there were probably 10+ construction workers working from 8:00am until past sunset. It was very noisy all day and made our “private” bunaglow, not so private - the workers would sit on the edge of our “private” porch at times and I had to change clothes in the bathroom every time because the workers could see through the glass panels that line the wall. The hotel did not inform of us this - it would have been nice to have known or at least been offered the room at a discounted price since you are paying for a pricey room to have more privacy, maybe even a complimentary dinner, anything. I understand construction has to happen, but I think informing the guest is 100% necessary.

Love this place
I picked La Joya 2 over La Joya because the bungalows are right next to the spa on the cliff. Love the little cliff “jacuzzi”. Nice bungalows and good food at the restaurant. Try the smoothie bowl for breakfast, amazing. Staff is nice especially the manager, Yama. I only wish the hadn’t put up the glass fence around the perimeter of the cliff. Will definitely be back.

It is better when the hotel provide TV at the room. And our type of trip is family trip with a toddler, we think the room is not kids friendly. The family room better had a safety stairs and devider at the second floor.

WISH IT WERE ON THE BEACH, BUT...
Pros: BEAUTIFUL hotel- charming, circular, hut-like rooms. Fantastic views. WARM, inviting pool. Cons: No BLANKET on bed, just one top sheet. (With the a/c on, I actually woke up FREEZING! No phone in room to call front desk- you may find this very inconvenient. Breakfast choices are slim. As a vegan, even slimmer. (I prefer hotels with buffets and/or much larger menus for varied choices). Still, what I had was pretty good- not life-changing, but pretty good.

upon checkout I was informed that the hotel could not accept debit cards, but cash or credit card was OK. I use my indonesian debit card every week and have never found that debit cards do not work but ctedit cards do. The machines either work or do not, depending on how the mobile network is working. Therefore, I can only assume we were part of a scheme by staff to make a cash payment off the books. a trip to an atm delayed us to the point where we nearly missed out flight. Never again for this hotel - others should be aware. I also experienced bali belly after eating at the hotel restauarant.

We stayed here when realising we had an extra night in Bali after a yoga teacher training. Our friend recommended the place so we booked it without even researching! I mentioned to the staff I was a coeliac (gluten free) and so was my partner. We were so impressed when at dinner and breakfast the staff knew we were gluten free and to not give us any food with gluten. The views are spectacular, the sound of the ocean is wonderful and the rooms are so cute and each has a lovely different outlook. We walked down to the private beach which was fun. The only thing I didn't love was that during the day there are a lot of really loud obnoxious tourists by the pool drinking too much. Its not really in the hotels control as that is just the Bali westerner experience, but thankfully at night they finished up and went to their own rooms. I'm glad the pool & bar area doesn't stay open at night or it would be impossible to sleep!

The hotel is situated abit far from the main road a bit far from the city which is very quiet place to relax. The highlight of my stay is the Private Beach of this which is a 5min Hike down and back up Both Sunset of the beach and of in the pool area is amazing For the room they dont have a service telephone if you need anything from the front desk you have to go up to the front desk/ same in the restaurant/ spa if you need their services Location: it is cheaper to get a BLUEBIRD taxi to go from there just book in advance through their app.

Comfy with Good View
Biu Biu is a excellent resort with stunning sea horizon view and the open bath (required prior reservation) with sunset view is great. There is also a small private beach with nice wave. Restaurent for breakfast and dinner are lovely. We will definitely come back again in Bali.

Trop cher pour ce que c'est.
Je commencerais par rappeler qu il s agit d un hôtel 3 étoiles. Je trouve que le rapport qualité prix n y est pas. Le spot est magnifique. L hôtel est absolument isolé, il n y a rien à voir ou faire à pieds (pas de supérette, bar, cantine, etc., Rien). Le restaurant était en travaux lors de notre séjour. Je reste sur ce sentiment : trop cher pour la prestation.

Presque parfait
Très joli petit resort, calme est avec très belle vue. Par contre il faut savoir que c’est en dehors de tout et qu’il faut être motorisé. Nourriture très bonne avec un bémol pour un des 10 repas pris à l’hôtel. What you see on the iPad is what you get! S’il y à trois crevettes sur la photo de la salade Cesar, il y aura 3 crevettes dans l’assiette! C’est un peu décevant pour un produit relativement local et à part vous dire qu’on est sorry, il ne faut rien espérer de plus.
