Many things that was neglected which made my stay uncomfortable. 1. Mouldy toilet walls 2. Dirty toilet bowls 3. Broken tissue box 4. Dirty mini fridge that froze anything placed inside 5. I called to ask for extra pillows and told I couldn't have any. 6. Ask for extra towel to swim with and I had to pay $4sgd for a poor quality towel with a stain and literally falling apart. I suggest put lesser people in the breakfast area and more people in the cleaning area. Too many staff doing nothing when theres a lot to be done. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone

Not Too Impressed

Booked it as it’s rated 4Stars, but it’s sub par as expected. Room looks dated and worn already. No soap bar nor hand towel in the bathroom upon check in. Had to call housekeeping to bring that. Windows are small and split by white walls in the middle ( weird design). Breakfast buffet is okay but some foods are cold. Overall not too impressed and won’t stay again.

The Akmani was a good compromise between location, size of room and value for money. We had a superior double on the 7th floor. The bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioning was excellent. TV channels were rather poor (no football!). The buffet breakfast was also varied - Indonesian, Western including Eggs station - with good coffee. Although the service on the whole was good, the reason I didn't give a 5* star was because the bathroom had a slight smell which wasn't resolved during our stay. There was also rather loud drilling at the rooftop terrace after 8 am (part of ongoing renovation) so if you want to sleep-in, opt for a room in the lower floors.

The Akmani is conveniently situated. They are renovating and its noisy all day until late, internet works, but is slow and intermittent. Breakfast is pretty poor. I feel its overpriced for what you get. Would I stay there again? … yes, but I would look at other hotels first.

Standard Has Dropped

The standard of the hotel has dropped. Particularly on the cleaniness, compare to my previous stays. The towel is dark and not very clean look. The bathroom also averagely maintained. The rubbish was swept behind the door of the restaurant entrance without tidy up.
