"We stayed here for 2 nights. Enjoyed sitting outside in the morning with beautiful views. Room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was good. The pool was exceptionally clean. Would definitely stay here again."

"The young woman at the desk when arrived was Alyssa. She was AWESOME!! We had to deal with a few wrinkles to our stay. First the restaurant and tap room are closed the middle of the week. If we had known that we would not have stayed here. But Alyssa was charming and explained it throughly. She provided a list of restaurants and that worked out quite nicely. Then we had booked a standard room. These rooms are on the second floor in the main building The stairway is very uncomfortable. The rise between stairs is very high and the steps narrow and steep. As senior citizens this was unacceptable. When I mentioned this to Alyssa; she did not disagree. She was sympathetic and understanding and provided us with an alternative room in another building This was a nice improvement. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable."

"We had stayed here 1 night last year and found the Inn very comfortable and cozy, so decided to return this year. The Inn is under new ownership and they were very accommodating to our needs. Our group had 4 different rooms. Each is unique. The rooms are not large, but comfy-cozy, with woodsy furnishings and very clean. There are lots of activities and games to use, for example, pool, ping pong, tic-tac-toe, etc, as well as an outdoor pool, hot tubs, and sauna. The attached restaurant has nightly entertainment and great food! (Try the SHP burger, Caesar salad, fries/sweet potato fries, nachos!). Service was great! Continental breakfast in the lobby area was adequate to start the day. We already plan to return next August for our annual trip!!"

"The inn was quiet, clean, comfortable and we really enjoyed the breakfast. Great location, walking distance to a few restaurants. Staff was great and knowledgeable about the history of the inn and area. Will definitely be returning"

"This historic hotel should compare to resorts such as the Greenbrier, the Homestead, the Broadmoor in customer service. My only complaint in that regard was the lack of staff upon initial arrival at the front door. I am used to never being allowed to touch my luggage until a porter has delivered it to my room. I'm used to not having to open my own car door when I arrive. I'm used to a doorman when I enter the lobby. None of that happened here and I think it should. That being said, I loved the hotel and I'm sure we'll stay again. I loved the history, including the haunted history. I loved cocktails on the sweeping veranda overlooking Mount Washington. Our room was small by today's standards but superb in every other way. The complimentary shuttle service to "off campus" resort properties and amenities was great. I believe this hotel will be on my calendar next summer!"
