Staff were all lovely and working very hard because the hotel is quite understaffed.
Rooms were nice although a little lacking in storage and had barn doors on the bathroom providing no privacy whatever.
The hotel in general was very clean and pretty. The soaring lobby is cozy with a beautiful fireplace and bar. Plenty of seating to enjoy the amazing view.
We had two breakfasts there and one dinner, and the food was tremendous. Very well done.
My only important complaint regards the pool. It was advertised as a saltwater pool, however, it was so overly chlorinated that your eyes were stinging. The pool was small, but adequate sized. It was stained and dated, the ceiling was peeling, and the acoustics were horrendous. More than four kids in there and your head was pounding. It did have the same lovely view as the lobby, which was nice. The pool was heated, but not quite enough and the room itself was cold. So altogether not a great experience.
Directly across the street was an activity center with snowshoeing, cross country, skiing, and a really great hill for tubing. They also offered a snow cat ride up the mountain which we did. It was absolutely amazing.
Would definitely stay there again, especially if they put some money into their pool area.
