"For me, this was a piece of pure indulgence. It was a calm place, somewhere to relax and recharge. The breakfasts were exquisite. No dinner on offer during my stay (2nights) but the recommended restaurant (sushi restaurant) was very special. The town was quiet and very calm and if you're prepared to walk a little (taxi or bus it if not), there are great views of Mt Fuji San to be had. Highly recommended. "

"We had a fantastic experience at this traditional Japanese ryokan in Shuzenji Onsen, said to be over 400 years old. Despite its age, the facilities and rooms were spotlessly clean and well maintained. We booked two suites, each with its own private onsen, which was perfect for relaxing. Each suite can fit up to four guests, making it great for families or groups. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. "Tu en room was absolutely stunning with the private hot tub. Don’t bother eating there though. It s a waste of your money. The shuttle was very convenient to get to the train station and visit."

"This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in, I spent 1 night for my Aqours pilgrimage. You need to ride a boat to get to the island (free if you stay at the hotel), Friendly staff, Absolutely stunning lobby, rooms, onsen, Mt. Fuji view, the best part is hearing nothing but waves when you open the door to the balcony. Also loved the Aqours Mari shrine room. I wish I stayed for more nights."
