Staff are exceptional, very supportive. The room sizes are not as large as shown in pictures. Room need slots of cosmetic work. There are water stains in bathrooms. Neither the rooms nor the common area has microwaves. So, we had to request the staff to provide warm water throughout our stay. Having ability to warm up water by the guests themselves is very important, especially, if there are young children. The staff were more than supportive and very helpful.

Excellent location and service! The front desk staff spoke excellent English and gave us great information on visiting local sights which were all within easy walking distance. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby too. It was nice receive a warm welcome when we returned from our daily outings. The view from our room was amazing - go for the honeymoon suite, you won’t regret it!!!

I am not going to stay there twice
We stayed for 5 days in the hotel. And the first day itself we told that the water was going very slowly from the shower area and it was disgusting to use like that. They said they will fix it but never did. And they did not change our room as well. But we stayed. And then when we were about to checkout we requested to do the pcr test since we were flying on the day after. And they brought a nurse and did the test. And on night we got the results and it was positive, but we never had any symptoms of any kind. They said we had to be in quarantine for 10 days and have to pay for those days. So we complained about the shower again, and they changed our room within minutes which they didn’t do before. And we said we didn’t believe the result since we didn’t have any symptoms, and we went to nearby clinic to do the test again. And the next day when we got the results, it was negative. We showed the result to hotel people, and the guy insisted that the result was fake, but it had the health stamp and it was showing in their health portal as well. He said even though we had a negative result we will not be able to fly. We called the airline company and we asked if we can fly. They said if we bring he negative result we will be able to fly. We went the other day to airport and we were able to fly. Now we are in our country and we did the test again, and it is negative. Some people said that some of the hotel people do that to keep customers in the hotel for more days.

Location good, breakfast situation is worst seen!
Positives: Location is great walking distance to all major attractions etc. Staff member Mahmud very helpful. Negatives: Small rooms. No tea/coffee in lounge area as advertised. Breakfast a disaster. Not enough food for all the guests. Always short of butter eggs coffee etc and guests have to keep asking for it. Very embarrassing to keep asking for breakfast we paid for. Dinning area very small with not enough tables for guests. One time I had to take my breakfast to my room as there was nowhere to sit. Extremely short staff, never stayed at a hotel so short staff. Receptionist is doing dining room duties etc, one girl is running the kitchen. No room service as advertised.

We booked the property on April 11 at around 2pm. We arrived on the property on April 12 at around 2:30 am BC we were traveling by road. When we arrived they didn't have the room we requested. They didn't have any room that accomodated 3 people. They have us two rooms after searching for 40 mins however both rooms were smoking rooms even though we had requested non-smoking rooms

Very bad service - no water facilities throughout the stay - couldn’t have a shower, no toilet paper, no WiFi and no breakfast. The staff was very unhelpful and could not communicate in English when reporting a problem otherwise spoke and wrote fluent English. The Manager was very dishonest and promised to provide a refund knowing the stay was not to a good standard as we had to use outdoor water facilities however he did not contact me and did not approve of a refund to hotels.com

Terrible staff
terrible staff there, will never recommend to anyone to stay there. They are ready to fight with you any moment. Specially the uzbek guy at reception, tells you to shutt up and later ready to fight with customers all the time. Upon complaining to manager on duty he was sorry later and tried to make fake smiles.

Convenient location to San Marco
This hotel was perfectly adequate for what we wanted. It was centrally located, clean, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Actually, very kind. Venice is a place where space is at a premium and I can't make any comparison between this and other Venice hotels, so my guess is that if I could compare it for price and amenities, I would rate it higher. It should be noted that there are some not inconsiderable stairs to the hotel, so being in shape and able bodied is important! And this may be the case for most hotels in this price range in this area of Venice.

Perfect Istanbul location
We had a wonderful 2 night stay. The location is within 5 minutes walking distance to the Hippodrome and the Blue Mosque plus 5 minutes to the tram for access to the all other areas of the Old City. Excellent breakfast plus tea in the afternoon. The staff could not have been more helpful by answering questions , providing directions, calling for taxis and providing service plus all the time. We had friends with us the first night and asked for a rooftop dinner suggestion and the staff made reservations for us at a restaurant just around the corner where we had fabulous views along with a terrific dinner. If you want to have a great visit to Istanbul we are sure the Lausos. Hotel will help make your stay extra special.

Hotel is in a great location, although much dated. The breakfast in the am isnt worth a visit. The staff was all new when I was there so there was slight confusion with checking in etc.

The pictures on Hotels.com do not represent the actual rooms Hotel Lausos assigned to us on our stay. King Suit is the Partial Seaview. The Dream Suit, which the Hotel has only one of this suit, is the King Suit on Hotels.com Website. Overall, Hotel Lausos is a fairly clean hotel conveniently located in the Sultanhamet District. I gave a low review because of our experience with the actual room and website picture discrepancy.

Good holiday trip for Honeymoon
We stayed at this hotel on our honeymoon to be close to the Blue Mosque and within the old city. It was an amazing experience to stay in that location. We had a very good time.

Great location
Perfect location for visiting the major sights in the old town. A 5 minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia and 10 minutes to the Topkapi Palace. Our room was small and could have done with some drawer space but nicely furnished and very clean. Compact bathroom, good shower but couldn't get spa bath to work - again very clean. Good choice at buffet breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend it.

Terrific location!
This small hotel is in a great location - just a short walk to Sultanahmet Square, the Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern. While the room was a bit small it had everything you need for a few nights stay, the QS bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and very clean. The reception desk staff were great, exceedingly friendly and very helpful. Not a posh hotel but good value for money as breakfast is included.

This hotel is in a fantastic location for accessing all the sights on foot. It is easy to get to from the airport by metro and tram at the cost of only 1.40 if you buy a travel card. The rooms are a reasonable size for a city location and they are very clean and serviced daily. Without exception the staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel as it is excellent value for money.

Ideal location and friendly staff
Lausos Hotel is ideally located, just a few minutes' walk from Sultanahmet Square and tram stop. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean. Breakfast on the little terrace was very pleasant, and the cats there were great. I would thorougly recommend this hotel. Minor gripes: (1) the TV channels did not correspond to the list in the room, and there were no pay TV channels available nor any obvious programme guide. There are literally hundreds of channels in many languages available, but it would be better to have a much smaller selection, but of higher quality (e.g. pay TV channels for live football in my case). (2) As a single traveller, the size of my standard room (twin bed) was fine, but I imagine for two people in there, it'd be a bit pokey.

The hotel we were originally booked into was closed for renovations. The service booked us into this hotel at the last minute and I am glad they did. The location is great and the staff very friendly. I will stay there again whenever I get to Istanbul.

This hotel is a real find!
New renovations to this hotel make it clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a nice little garden terrace where you can have breakfast which is generous and fresh. Although the rooms are like most all rooms of this class in Istanbul and quite small, they were very clean and had air conditioning, comfortable beds and free wifi. They were also very quiet and we didn't hear the call from the minarets at all. The location was one of the best features as we could be in the large square beside the Blue Mosque within a 2 min. walk. It's also a 3 min. walk from the main tram line that takes you to the airport.

I really liked this hotel. The location was absolutely perfect to walk 3-10 minutes to the major sites (Hagia Sophia, blue mosque, hamami, Topkapi palace, grand bazaar). My room was very clean, tastefully decorated, and even had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom! The breakfast buffet was copious and awesome. They also served tea, coffee, and cakes in the late afternoon in the lobby, which was great. I didn't find the desk staff to be very helpful and one person gave me a terrible recommendation for a nearby place to grab a kebab. Luckily the next day I found a much better place. I got a great price, which made this stay 100% worth it!

This hotel made us feel like Ottoman Royalty, without being intrusive. The room was cleaned to the extent of folding our clothes. Breakfast was available from 7:30am til 10:00am but if you'd missed breakfast you were asked if you'd like breakfast to be prepared. Yasemin ensures your eggs are made to your taste whist Mahmut will ensure you have your tea or coffee. Necati will ensure you have your coffee on arrival of a ling day shopping or clubbing at any time. Servet and Cengiz are always on hand for any enquires

We spent an unbelievable time in Istanbul, staying at Lausos for 4days, 3 nights. Location - This is an awesome location, 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque, main road, Arasta Bazaar, Aiya Sophia, Sultanahmet Square, food places, etc.!!! Accommodation - The rooms were really comfortable and cleaned daily (I’m a germaphobe, so it was awesome to see that every nook and cranny was clean) a bit smaller than expected, though it was just a standard room. One of the staff showed us a couple of the other upgraded rooms, which had spectacular views of the sights, but a bit out of my price range... Food - YUMMY! We had breakfast at the hotel every morning, and it was really divine! Especially relaxing on the terrace, in the early morning sun. Staff - Whether it was checking in, checking out, getting breakfast, asking for recommendations, the staff at Lausos went over and above to assist. Services were available 24/7, whether you were returning from clubbing at 3am, and wanted a cup of tea, or whether you came back from a tiring day of exploring, and staff offering an invigorating cup of Turkish coffee. Staff were super friendly, and always pleasant. At the end of the trip, it was like saying goodbye to family. A specific thanks to Cengiz, Oskan, Yasemin, Mustafa Akdemir (I think that’s his last name; there are 3 other Mustafa’s!) for their warm welcome, and taking care of us. Amenities - The hotel has the basics, but it would have been great if they offered such facilities such as spa treatments, a pool, etc. It would have made those times we spent at the hotel more enjoyable. Understandably, the location may not be conducive to such facilities, but it is always something they could consider doing in partnership with one of the bigger hotels. Having said that, the terrace area was always really relaxing, and we even fell asleep in the sun a couple of times...

Hotellet var gammelt og meget slidt, løse stikkontakter, mangle pære i lamperne der virkede/manglede lampe ved sidens sengen hvor der var sat en plastik pose over ledningerne, jacuzzien virkede ikke og elendig rengøring, meget beskidt over alt og sengene kunne man mærke fjederne i, morgenmaden kold kaffe og et meget sørgelig udvalg af mad især også når man har små børn med, tagterrassen er livsfarlig for små børn der ikke noget afskærmning, nøgle kortene til værelserne var næsten ubrugelige da de var tapet helt ind og lavet af pap. Det eneste der var positivt ved opholdet var bestyreren af stedet god service og meget sød. De andet personale var til ingen hjælp.

on a séjourner 5nuits ds cet hôtel , le personnel était très gentil et a l 'écoute mais aucune réclamation na été régler je suppose qu' ils exécuter seulement les ordres de leurs patron , une fois que le payement est fait , on prouver raller autant qu'on le désirer , rien ne sera faits je suis certaine que cet hôtel était très bien , mais en 2022 c est une véritable ruines en temps normal cet hôtel doit être fermer .la femme de ménage on l'a jamais vue , on lui a demander de ne faire que les départs. nous sommes arrivées a 18 h et les chambres n étais pas encore prêtes , le petit dej tres basique . fuyez cet hôtel meme si il est gratuit .

Excellente hotel et un sejour exceptionnel
Tout d'abord, je remercie l'equipe de l'hôtel sans oublier le manager qui nous a attribué une belle chambre , Le petit dejeuner était super Sauf je dois signalé que la femme de chambre etait desagreable qui n'aime pas son travaille , a chaque on etait obligé de faire des reclamations pour changer les draps ou les serviettes. Dans l'ensemble le service etait parfait

Anscheinend gab es komplikationen mit meiner Zahlung, was natürlich nicht glaubwürdig war da der Betrag für den Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel von meiner Karte schon abgebucht gewesen ist wollte die Dame an der Reception meine Sicherheitscode von der Karte um den bezahlten Betrag nochmals abzubuchen, erst nach einem persönlichen Telefonat mit Hotels.com wurde die Sache geklärt, ich empfehle mehr auf die eigene Finanzielle Sicherheit zu achten was die Daten anbelangt, ansonsten ist die Sicherheit in diesem Hotel gewährleistet. Wünsche und Hilfsbereitschaft der Mitarbaiter haben wir geschätzt. Sauberkeit war ok, Zimmer eher klein und einfach, Wellness Badewanne vorhanden aber defekt, Duschen möglich

Hotelde 1 gece konakladık fakat göründüğü gibi değil, Duşda ilk sıcak su gelmedi bi yarım saat sonra sıcak su gelmeye başladı,minibarda hiç bişey yok, su istedik dışarıdan alındı. Tavsiye etmem bir daha da kalmam.
