This is a small hotel, but the room was good. Friendly owner. I wish they had supplied the room with coffee and tea, but they had water in the fridge so that was good too. They didn't change our towels (but maybe if we asked they would). It is near Istiklal Street which was great and had a market and alcohol shop next to it.

One of the worst hotels I have ever been to my whole life. This place is very dirty in a very shady area that is full of prostitute and thieves. A minute before arriving to the hotel my phone was STOLEN , so we did not check-in because it was not secure and safe to stay AT ALL. We booked in another hotel, but when we asked them to refund us the money, they refused and said it is a lot of money to return and they won’t give it back ( clearly they don’t care about their guests, only their money ) so I have lost over $ 1000. All these good reviews and pictures that you see are all fake so DO NOT BELIVE IT. If you really care about your family and belongings DO NOT book in this hotel and advice your loved ones to stay away.

The guys that work at the reception are lovely the cleaner was very rude the area is very noisy and dangerous especially if you’re alone at night time. Apart from that it’s close to everywhere you basically get what you pay for.

Ok but need more cleaning
Thee hotel room was not completely clean, there were some stuff in the trash can and that gave some smell to the room, The fabric on the bed for decoration was smelly and has probably not been washed in years. The hotel was in a good location not far from Taksim, the workers were friendly and could communicate in English, I could smell cigarette in my room and that was very uncomfortable. The price was ok for the room, the WiFi connection was very slow.

The hotel itself is clean and in a convenient location, next to Istiklal street. The negatives were: -A lot of noise at night. The hotel is located next to clubs and people tend to bring back the party to the hotel. There was a lot of noise in the rooms next door until 5am. - no hot water, in December.

The worst hotel in the world!!! It’s so dirty and has so many junkies there We didn’t even stay there and they didn’t give us a refund the worst customer service We lost our money and had to go pay for another hotel. False advertising on the internet compared to what it is

The Hotel, the staff, the room...everything was nice and clean and comfy...the only thing that we didn't like in our stay...was the location of the hotel, the street the hotel was in did not make us feel safe...other than that everything was great.

Good place to stay, central to Taksim so easy to get the bus to/from Gocken airport. Room was clean and spacious enough. A bit run down - e.g. skirting board had come off the wall, not all lights working. Would be nice if the tea and coffee was complementary. Staff were nice and friendly. Bit noisy at night time - as its in a very busy area, but that comes with being so close to the Taksim shopping street! There is a lift! Would stay here again.

All is good and clean, staff is helpful. The street was noisy and full of dirty but the police came later and every thing became good. Not recommended for families with kids because of the street, but the hotel is very good.

We loved our stay at Jakandra hotel. The staff was very helpful. The location of the hotel is strategical close to Taksim street like 5 min walk. However, if you are light-sleeper and looking for tranquility than ask for a room at the 5th floor. The breakfast is not free and you will be charged like 10 Lira for coffee and 5 Lira for tea. The breakfast is not sufficient and small portion like one egg with couple of cheese slices and bread for 70 Lira (5 Lira for extra egg). I suggest for you to have your breakfast outside or to bring some food to your room there is a small fridge in it.

Very good hotel
Once i arrived to istanbul i felt that the hotel is in a very bad location but after the 2nd night i understood that all the party's and the cafee and night life is there, the hotel is 5 min walk to esteklal street and 15 min walk to taksem square , the clubs are every where beside the hotel, the hotel is very small only 8 rooms but its value for money the room is very very clean and the service is really amazing every thing you need they will do. Pros -Good location if you need to be close to night life cafee shops and shopping in isteklal -Value for money -good break fast ( chesse omlet- cheese- tea- bread) - can take breakfast in room for free. -clean room -amazing service Cons: - very small hotel only 8 rooms - not luxery( only for sleeping) -not open buffeh breakfast ( cheese- cheese omlet- olive- bread- tea) every day - location may be bad for people they needs hotel in laxuries place.

Small and friendly
Small downtown hotel in a busy street, close to shops and nightlife. We spent one night in a good size room, with a comfortable bed. Great wi-fi! Upon request, they arranged transfers to and from the airport. Good turkish style breakfast, served with care and a smile. Impressed by the effort to make us feel welcome.
