We had the most pleasant experience in this hotel with the friendliest staff you can imagine. Ahmed and Mahmud went beyond expectations and made our stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Amir, Shahin and the other Amir were super friendly and kind and made sure we have been well taken care of during breakfast and whenever we were around. And last but not least, the security manager Mr Osman was the sweetest creature in the hotel that you can ask for! We will definitely be back!

My stay at the hotel exceeded all expectations, starting with the convenient and well-priced shuttle service from the airport. Nestled in a prime location, the hotel is a mere 5-minute stroll from the iconic Galata Tower and incredibly close to the metro station, offering unparalleled access to Istanbul's many attractions. The staff was not only helpful but also exceptionally friendly, making me feel right at home. Great service, great stay
We stayed for the final part of our vacation in Istanbul, the hotel was extremely clean such as the room and specially the bathroom, but the best part was the service directly from the owners and wonderful staff. The breakfast was a traditional Turkish breakfast, with plenty, and always offered tea and coffee, and freshly prepared eggs. On top they where always on the look to find a way to help or guide/recommend you on the places to visit or eat.

Great Hotel, Great Location, Exceptional Staff!!
There’s only good things to say about our stay so let’s start: Room 5/5: Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, good sheets, good sized room and nice view. Location: 4.5/5: Small street, not a lot of noise, tram station 10 min walk, very close to Galata tower. Breakfast: 5/5: delicious “traditional type of Turkish breakfast at hotels” Staff 6/5: Exceptional, everybody is trying to help (and achieve it) they made our stay easier. They made us feel welcomed and were attentive at all times. They truly make you feel at home.
Osman the security guard takes really good care of the property.

Great location. Great water pressure and hot water in the shower which is key to any of my hotel stays. They also arranged a shuttle to pick up us from the airport for 40 euro which is reasonable.

The staff here are wonderful! Made us feel comfortable and looked after straightaway, so welcoming! Rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Istanbul is very hilly and the hotel is on a hill. Close to many eateries and good shopping.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff! They were so generous with us (and from what we could see, with the other guests too) with their time, — welcoming us and answering the myriad of questions we had about Istanbul, transportation, etc. The room was comfortable and clean. We were on the first floor, so there was a little bit of noise from the laneway, but nothing too disturbing. The location was convenient - walkable to Taksim, Galata tower, Galata bridge in 15-20 minutes.

The minute you walk in to the hotel you are made to feel right at home. Mohammed was amazing at recommending the perfect places for us to eat.. all within walking distance and delicious. After a long day of exploring the city you are welcomed “home” with a coffee or cold drink. I recommend getting a room at the top floor with a balcony and a spectacular view of the city.

We love Hotel Doruk Palas!
Amaizing small hotel conveniently located near Galata tower, nice restorants and shops. The hotel owners Ahmed and Mohammed were absolutely delightful, very hospitable and accomodating. They made sure we had the best time and experience possible for celebrating my husband's birthday and for our stay at their hotel. Clean rooms, tasty brakfast and we loved the company of Mr. Osman (the cat manager) who made our stay even more enjoyable! We highly recommend hotel Doruk Palas. We loved it!

Doruk Palas Hotel is truly a pleasant surprise for us during our stay in Turkey. Not only did they give us rooms with excellent view, they provided excellent service by giving us detailed traveling advices and the history of the hotel (and cats). It’s rare to see hotels that provide this level of service in Istanbul and we absolutely enjoyed staying there. Definitely recommend it!!

I would absolutely recommend Doruk Palas hotel to anyone staying in Istanbul! In summary: Location: - close to metro so it's easy to get to Sultanahmet without staying in a crowded, loud, expensive neighborhood - close to Galata tower and cute restaurants - on a quiet street Hotel: - AMAZING free breakfast! This was a priority for me and it did not disappoint - Every staff member we interacted with was so lovely and we got great tips on how to spend our time in Istanbul - They proactively reached out to see if we wanted an airport transfer, which was super convenient - There are 2 friendly hotel kitties if you're a cat person (I'm not but they left me alone) Room: - We stayed in a "Superior" room, which was not super spacious but we didn't spend much time there anyway! The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were very nice - The view of the Bosphorous was so cool! - Ahmet graciously accommodated our request to move to a room with 2 twin beds when one opened up (my boyfriend is a wiggly sleeper so it's hard for us to sleep in the same bed), which I so appreciated! The two twin room also had a bit more space. - The rooms were very quiet, which I appreciated as a light sleeper. The beds were also very comfortable. - AC was a little wonky in our 1st room but great in the 2nd room! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. All in all it's a well run, clean hotel with great service in an awesome location.

Dear Haris Umair,You arrived in Istanbul by flight TK 004 at 05:40 and moved to the hotel with our transfer service.Although the check-in time is 14:00, you checked in around 10:00-10:30 and informed us that you were tired after 16 hours of flying from New York.You left the hotel in 1 hour and we got a call from Expedia to cancel the reservation and give a full refund because your friends had an apartment which is free of charge.You did not stay at the hotel for more than 1 hour to meet your friends and left a review for a hotel you did not stay.We are very sorry for your unfair review and please remember that ''Whatever you do comes back to you''!Best Regards,Doruk Palas

Unique hotel in great hotel near to Galata tower. Fantastic views and delicious breakfast. Owner and staff are friendly and helpful. They even walked with us to find a taxi. Room was spacious and had its own terrace. We fell in love with the cat osman. Would not hesitate to recommend and would come again

Doruk Palas had an incredibly helpful and friendly staff that really made our stay in Istanbul wonderful. The very large breakfast spread with made to order omelettes was also lovely.

Ahmed and his family were so welcoming, and they were so helpful during my stay- also suggesting loads of places to visit around the area food, hammam and sights! The location of this hotel is great also, within walking distance of the old city (7-10 mins) and the hip Galata and Karakoy area (5 mins). Would come back for sure!

Amazing place to stay at in Istanbul! This was our first time in Istanbul and we are so glad we found this hotel. The rooms are really clean, have amazing views and beds are really comfortable. The breakfast is lovely and the front desk staff are really friendly and helpful, this also includes the main man Mr Osman(the cat). The manager, Ahmet, has amazing restaurant recommendations, hamam and sight seeing areas. You will definitely be looked after in this hotel!!
