Large, clean, comfortable room. Exceptionally helpful, thoughtful, and attentive staff. Great breakfast. The sauna, swimming pool, and hammam facilities were excellent and an added bonus. The location is excellent with easy walking access to the major sites in Istanbul, as well as the tram and ferries. We didn’t want to leave and were sad when our vacation came to an end.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient to public transportation, both the metro and ferryboats. Have stayed at this hotel before and will stay there again. Excellent breakfast selection.

This was a fantastic hotel choice for our first time in Istanbul. It is incredibly convenient to get everywhere. You can walk to many different parts of town, but there is also public transportation within minutes. Great restaurants nearby, a lovely breakfast buffet, coffee and tea in your room or anytime of day brought to you fresh. Refrigerators stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks refreshed daily. Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, abundant hot water. But the best part is the staff. They are just amazing and wonderful. They cannot do enough for you and will help you with every aspect of your stay. I travel quite a bit but this place blew me away. I’d stay here again without question.

Staff were ecxellent. Breakfast was fantastic, as was the roof top restaurant, which is highly recommended for the food, the view and to get away from the crowds and noise. Tram is 1 block away. Two tram stops or an easy walk to major attractions: Hagia Sogia, Cistern, blue mosque, palace, cruise or to cross the bridge. Rooms overlooking the street are a bit noisy but hotel provides ear buds to sleep. The AC and/or ventilation also help to dampen the noise. It's a big noisy city. You would be hard pressed to find a hotel away from any noise: car horns, traffic and call to prayer are a constant wherever you go. I highly recommend it.

Brilliant hotel in the heart of the old city
Excellent hotel. We got a room with a balcony so we could have some outside space. The bed was super comfortable, the living area was great and the bathroom was very well done with a whirlpool bath and very large separate shower. The staff were very accommodating and couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast was great and we made use of the 11am end time. There was a fridge and kettle in the room so we got to make tea. We particularly enjoyed the daily towel designs and the pot of Turkish delight left by the maid. Istanbul is a very noisy city with the trams, car horns and call to prayer all being extremely loud. The Neorion is right in the thick of it so we took earplugs with us for sleeping. The hotel also provided earplugs. If you don't like the noise you are best to go somewhere else, probably not Istanbul! Bad points about the room: There was nowhere in the large bathroom to put things, not even a towel rail near the shower. The double glazing in one window was cloudy so that spoiled the view. None of the mirrors were in the right place for shaving or doing makeup. A full length mirror would have been useful too.

The Neorion hotel is a fabulous 5 star hotel located in a prime district within istanbul. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Dedash and Mehmet who retrieved our luggage from the sidewalk. We were then escorted to the lobby for hot tea and Cappuccino while we waited for a personal check-in to our Double Deluxe Suite with a bslcony. From the staff at check-in to the servers at breakfast, it is clear that the staff take great pride in providing top-notch service for their guests. A special thanks to Dedash who was extremely helpful in developing an itinerary of activities to explore historic sites around Istanbul for three straight days and numerous options for dining. Also, a big thanks to Mehmet and Hatice who were responsible for serving the best free hotel breakfast in Istanbul. Without question, my next visit to Istanbul will include a stay at the Neorion.

great location in the heart of Istanbul old city. Charming accomodations. The breakfast buffet was generous and varied. The outstanding feature of this hotel is the people who work here. Always ready to help with directions, reservations and luggage. Organized a taxi for me to my next hotel. Lined up a guide for my first day and she turned out to be fantastic. I would stay again in a minute and highly recommend the hotel for a stay in Istanbul.

What a great home base for hectic Istanbul! The staff is very kind and welcoming, nice breakfast buffet, the room was very clean, comfortable bed, and it was great to have a swimming pool, sauna and hammam room available. (Note that the hot tub did not have actual hot water in it on my visit, not sure why since it was fall weather.) They even leave you some Turkish delight and goodies in your room. The location is great - all the big sites are walkable, but it's also right by the main tourist tram line so you can save your steps for climbing the hills. Lots of restaurants and stuff right around the hotel, for when you just want to grab something local. Would definitely stay here again.

Neorion staff was very accommodating. The rooms were clean and they provided water daily. The breakfast was not the best but the attached rooftop restaurant had al a carte breakfast options for purchase. The rooftop restaurant is nice for dinner. The hotel is conveniently located by the train and popular tourist attractions. Plenty of shopping available in the area also.

Awesome stay in a great location. The included breakfast is very good and the service is great. Incredible roof top bar/restaurant. My only suggestion for improvement: the pool in the spa area is used by children and is very noisy, which is distracting when we had our wonderful spa treatments.

Neorion (Nee-Oreeuhn) is the textbook definition of a great boutique hotel. We stayed 2 nights at the end of Oct '23. All staff and their service are amazing. The location is great, the restaurant at the top is excellent and the rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy enough. We have stayed at many hotels around the World, and Neorion is at the top of our list.

Top experience. Everything was well placed, it was clean and tidy. The attention was superb. Everytime we arrived and sat around the lobby they would offer us drinks and everytime we got into our rooms we had some typical Turkish sweets waiting for us. We were often asked if we needed anything, Matt was specially attentive towards us. The room cleanears as well left everything shinning, and even let the towels in the form of an elephant once (cute). Finally my mother asked for the cleaning and ironing of some clothes, and since there was some delay they didn't charge us anything for it. In one sentence - the kind of service you will struggle to find today.

The property is well-located for all the sites in Sultanahmet, and there is a tram stop around the corner for travelling further afield. The area around the hotel is lively and packed with useful shops and restaurants, so plenty of options for meals and other shopping. The hotel itself is really clean and the rooms are a great size. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and typify that famous Turkish approach to hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are focused on making sure you have a great holiday in Istanbul.
