"The worst stay I’ve had. I didn’t plan to write a review but have been brushed off by hotel so here we are.
Should I start with finding a chicken bone in my burger and being met with a shrug, the later told the kitchen was aware of the issue and that it had happened to another customer previously? Or the over 2.5 hours to serve a table of 3 in a half empty restaurant? Or the finding of a full burger bun under our table (not mine…) Or the constant noise from squeaky floorboards above us or bin lorries outside our window? Or the almost empty and rotten breakfast in the morning? Or having to literally climb over (staff watching) what looked like a full breakfast chucked on the floor to get our table? Or asking for access to the pool with a young child, being shown the changing rooms and how to access the pool, only to be thrown out of said pool with no warning 10 minutes later due to a class starting? Any one of these issues on their own (had they been handled with decency) would be a small inconvenience, however all of them in the one place, led to an expensive disaster.
(The reception staff were truly lovely, the only saving grace of the weekend).
The lack of response that I have tried to gain via Hotel.com complaints process from the hotel on this matter is frankly shocking. I would advise taking a look through the similar reviews and re-considering before booking this hotel, and I will not be giving any custom to any hotels under the Manorview banner going forward."
