"From reviews i had read, we were concerned about not being able to check in before 4PM. However, we arrived at 12:30pm and were able to get our room immediately. While the facility has some obvious older edges, we found everything clean and well kept. The room was comfortable with a great view of the harbour. Overall we had a great stay! "

"The Hotel Sofia is a great place to stay in downtown San Diego. Walking distance to anyplace you’d like to go. If not the trolley is just a block away. The staff is very friendly and answered any questions I had to my satisfaction. Will definitely be back. "

"The location can’t be. The hotels looking a bit worn. Most of the bars and restaurants weren’t open during a portion of my stay. The rooftop pool was OK, but the rest of the area looked very dated. My room was clean by the sink had significant water damage, and the wood was warped. It’s just looking at its age and needs a major overhaul."

"Rooms were clean, pool area was nice and clean, breakfast was great…elevators are undergoing maintenance, but with a little patience, that wasn’t an issue!"

"Manager was very helpful in accommodating our request to change rooms. We relocated from above the tram stop which had affected my ability to sleep . Clean and centrally located in the Gaslight district. Comfy beds."
