"The Abita is a boutique type hotel in a central but relatively quiet location in Kyoto. The room amenities and fittings were top rated with nice artwork touches. The staff and systems showed good management and effort to assist the guests stay. The location was good, easy walk to local subway station and further walk/subway ride to restaurants/nightlife and daytime sightseeing activity. The rooms were spotless with a lovely Japanese aesthetic - a little bit of Japanese culture was a really nice touch. The minibar items, although limited, were all complementary. We had a king bed and an extra bed for my 19 year old son - both were extremely comfortable and the sheets really crisp yet soft. I found it more comfortable than the Peninsula in Tokyo.
