"I had a single bedroom on the 4th floor away from the street but facing the rails. Eventhough it is 5 min away from Victoria station, you can hear every train arriving and departing the station. Even with earplugs I can feel the rumbling of the trains. I know this is not something that the hotel can influence however I wanted to let future travelers know. Maybe take a room facing the street - it could be quieter, but I am not sure. The staff was very nice and quiet forthcoming!"

"the hotel doesn't have stair case, but the front desk staff, she is kind enough to help with our luggage to the 6th floor

"I stayed here for 4 nights with my adult daughter in a twin room. It reminded me of a dorm room because of its size, but it actually had plenty of space for the two of us. The shower was a bit small even for us (I'm five feet tall), but it was clean and stocked with toiletries. Our room was ready when we checked in, which was fantastic because we could change, rest, and freshen up right away. "We had a delightful one night stay at the Rubens, centrally located right across from Buckingham Palace’s Royal Mews or stables. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the breakfast was served in a gorgeous room with booths and chandeliers. We were traveling with our teen son so the suite with a pull out couch made it a high value fit for us so we could stay in one room. The room decoration was festive and royal feeling. The sweet baked goods were a pleasant surprise. Would definitely stay here...
