"Lunch was wildly expensive but breakfast was good. It would have been helpful to know we were on the 3rd floor no elevators and tiny circular stairs. For those with some mobility challenges it’s a hike!"

"It's such a shame! The building of the old Mercure hotel holds ok. The double room was spacious, clean, comfortable and with an amazing close view of the Winchester cathedral (practically over its grounds). But there was no milk for the tea in the room and the television did not show a single BBC channel (not even radio stations), had no access to satelite, internet or cable. "The hotel is beautiful, the staff friendly and efficient, the food was freshly cooked, hot and tasty although the chips too greasy for me, I thoroughly enjoyed the hake, The room was very clean but unfortunately I struggled to sleep in the heat with no air conditioning or even a fan"

"Great hotel. Staff were good but let down with restaurant weekend staff that could have done more. I kinda felt they didn't make an effort asking a colleague or finding out to andwer my questions instead of just saying "I don't know" Got my simple request wrong 3 times which was a shame. In the end I didn't insist anymore as I felt will just add to my stress."
