"We walked to hotel from Waverley Rail station was 30 min walk. Get a taxi if got cases and bags. Lovely walk otherwise to Princes street. Can walk to town centre by side of river through Leith Gardens. Lovely walk. Hotel staff were quick to book us in. room was lovely, big, clean, tea coffee milk biscuits. Shower, hair and soap in bathroom. Shower curtain was spotlessly clean. Lovely big soft towels. We were overlooking the river which was nice. We had a very pretty lounge next to our room....

"The room itself was clean and fine.. Since it was a hot stretch, it was essential that they provided a fan. The lack of air conditioning is, I guess to be expected, but the thermostat in the room did appear broken. My major concern was with the lack of upkeep of the parking lots and grounds of the hotel.
