"We originally booked a first floor since mom is handicap and they moved us to 2nd floor without telling us until we got there. Room shower knobs were broken and we showered with hot water for 2 days. There are no kitchenette’s in this place. No grills either. Pool was cloudy and looked dirty. It’s an old hotel. "I had the absolute BEST time. My room came with a curtain to close around my bunk, and an amazing AC unit. The entire place was amazing from the employees, to the kitchen and yummy morning pancakes. I went snorkeling with the hostel group and made memories to last a lifetime. This was my favorite stay out of my whole trip to Hawaii, which included three islands."

"The location is fantastic for first time visitors. Everyone was pleasant and the view was amazing. The room was better than we ever expected. The two things that I didn’t like had nothing to do with The Whaler. One was ocean was so loud at night you couldn’t sleep with window open. That’s all mother nature at its purest.
