"This B&B was a great alternative to the Homestead resort itself. It was close enough to easily walk to the resort within a few minutes, very reasonable in cost, and the proprietors are wonderful people. "Comfortable room. Fridge went out, but Jack at the front desk had a new one the next day. Everything else worked great. A little pricey, but worth it when you've experienced the other options in town. Great customer service. Will stay again. "

"The pictures show it as a flowery place to stay, lots of blooming plants. Going in early spring those flowers haven't bloomed yet so I was a little disappointed but understood. The closeness of all the houses was neat however you have to drive a bit to find gas and food if you don't make a reservation at the Water Wheel. Living in a city this was a big change for me. I would have like to have more insight on what other locations were good for visiting for lunch or dinner."

"Staff was extremely accommodating. Travelodge was very good. Upon check in I saw that I could book the same room for substantially less from them directly. Called Expedia several times to cancel - never got a person- always a computer voice that made me go through lots of hoops - eventually said an agent would be there- and then hung up. Same thing 3 times. Goidbye Expedia - booked lodging directly for next 10 nights."

"This bed and breakfast is run by a lovely young couple who were a delight to talk to. I had numerous questions before we arrived and they were answered promptly. The rooms were clean and charming. The history of the building is fascinating and there was a lot of literature on hand about the area. The breakfast was delicious, a recipe from the owner's grandmother who was also the previous owner. Stay here, you will not be disappointed!"

"Property looks abandoned -- no onsite office, broken blinds, trash on grass and in parking lot, feral cats prowling the parking lot. Some rooms have been renovated inside, and I was lucky enough to get one of those (after requesting). The interior of my room was fine for a one-night stay. You have to go up the hill to another hotel to check in, etc. Staying here longer than one night was out of the question."
