"My wife, son & I decided to have a spontaneous night away (21-6-25) and after reading a few reviews and using google for location we decided to book with the Stamford Gate Hotel. On arrival the staff were extremely helpful and answered our questions. The room was good and I was even surprised to see trouser pressers in the room. "Husband and I have just stayed here for a week with our big puppy and can honestly say the place is so beautiful, Jo and her husband have done a fantastic job with the pod and making it so homely inside. The pod had everything available from bed linen, towels, tea towels, cooking equipment, utensils, toaster, microwave , iron, ironing board, hair dryer, books, log burning fire and more. "The house suited our needs, however the lounge was upstairs although on the plans it was on the ground floor and we had elderly parents who couldn’t climb the stairs. We arrived to overflowing bins which smelt very bad and they weren’t sorted until the following morning. The photographs are clearly out of date as the accommodation is tired and is used as a HMO."

"Stayed in two different rooms as I had to unexpectedly extend my stay. The staff are absolutely lovely, and very helpful, room service and restaurant are both excellent. I would recommend opting for one of the “deluxe” options, as there is a significant difference in room quality compared to the standard room. "
