"The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. "Vey comfortable we have stayed in this historic building guest home . Just like our home, the owners was so warm to us. The guest house was located at the residential area which was very quiet and only 15 -20mins walking can down to the pier and shopping street."

"A wonderful old country house for an overnight stay. The staff were exceptional, from check-in, through evening meal, to check-out. Welcoming, friendly and professional. We had an excellent meal in The Grill. The view from our room was spectacular."
