"We booked a double room but were not told it was a disability access room. We were right next to the entry access door which banged open shut all night with other guests so hardly slept. Also the sink was small & far too low to use easily. The room decor & furniture was very low quality for such a beautiful building & the complementary tea etc & shampoo was very basic. This was not a cheap hotel & we were hoping for a beautiful room like the pictures but instead were left very disappointed."

"Anna and Ian were fantastic hosts. Nothing absolutely Nothing was too much for them. Breakfast continental was gorgeous. Those homemade oatcakes we're so tasty!. The whole house is like a beautiful museum. So many quirky bits and Bob's. The room a spacious amazingly quiet at night for a great night's sleep in such a comfortable bed.
