Good value

For the price it was what you expect. The theme is french from the decor to the furniture. The TV has a HDMI port for your laptop pleasures. Rooms are cleaned once every two days. It's free to park your moped in their underground garage. Careful with the bathrooms, some do leak.

Nice hotel close to shopping centers.

It's OK in general. I specially like the wine cave and the bar staff there. The only thing is the Internet was week, so it was a bit hard for me to work from the room. That's it.

Very Local

Location not ideal for tourists. Unless you can speak the language, I wouldn't recommend this area. We felt very uncomfortable just walking up the road 100m to the corner store. Staff were ok, but not hugely helpful. Room was tidy, but not clean.

District 8 hotel

Hoang Le hotel in district 8 is a small friendly hotel. The rooms are small with basic furnishings but clean. Wifi and aircon both worked well and staff were helpful and friendly. If you need or want to stay in district 8 it is a good low cost choice

This is a 2-Star hotel, not a 3-Star hotel

First things first, the listed address is wrong. The address is 69 Đường số 9, Binh Chanh District, Tp HCM, Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam. The listed address, Hamlet 4, Binh Hung Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is 2 kilometers away from the actual location the hotel is at. This was the first hotel in Ho Chi Minh City that I stayed in so the memories are vibrant. The second time I stayed here, I realized it's actually a 2-Star hotel, not a 3-Star hotel as advertised. There's a government issued 2-Star plaque on the front of the building.I booked the Superior room listed as 25 m2, but they don't actually have a room that's 25 m2. Their Deluxe room, which is supposed to be 30 m2, is actually 17 m2 or 18 m2. Whatever room size you booked, subtract about 40 percent and that would be your actual room size. There's free water in the fridge, but no cofffee or tea making facilities. There's ethernet connections in the room, which is good for business travelers. As for the neighborhood, it's pretty local. Not a tourist area at all. Across the street there's a "massage" parlor that opens until 1am. Exit the hotel, turn left there's a Panda BBQ, which is great, and also before Panda BBQ there's an island with some awesome barbecued street food. Looking at Panda BBQ, turn left walk about half a block there's a big mall with movie theater, shops, restaurants, and coffee shops.

Nice room, but small, neighborhood bad,nearby eats

This is in district 8, it's kind of the boondocks, so there's not a whole lot to see. the room was tidy, but small. They have a larger room, but that room has no windows. There's an attached restaurant that looks pretty expensive so i never tried it. There are a lot of cheap eats nearby though. In addition to wifi, they also have ethernet cables running into each room. For some reason the internet drops every few minutes for a second or two, This won't affect normal web browsing, but if you need to do some sort of internet calling that needs a steady connection you might run into problems. Despite that the internet speed is fast.
