"This is charming old property with a personal touch. The staff are lovely and helpful, and the house is full of character and - within the inevitable limits of an ancient building - well appointed. Very comfortable beds and effective (and needed!) aircon. The location is wonderful, although coming to Sintra by car is a mistake! Taxis and Uber are plentiful and cheap. I would leave the car behind next time. "

"I found this lovely place to stay because I was coming from Lisbon and didn’t want to rush all the sites into one day. Very reasonably priced and the staff and breakfast were wonderful. It very convenient to all the sites and the main centre is only a 5 minute walk. I would recommend staying here. "

"Die Lage ist perfekt um Sintra und seine Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden. Das Parken ist allerdings verheerenden wenn man keinen Platz direkt gegenüber bekommt (ca. 8 Parkplätze). Allgemein ist es zu empfehlen Sintra mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln aus Lissabon zu besichtigen. Man sollte sich zumindest vorher bewusst sein, dass es mit den Auto eher hinderlich ist. Die Unterkunft selbst ist in die Jahre gekommen aber trotzdem alles in allem ok."

"The bedroom was ample and had a lot of light. The reception stuff was very accommodating. On the negative side, the bathroom was a little tired. It was dirty under the bed, had some pieces of biscuits and biscuit wrapper. It was a good stay. "

"Great hotel. We loved Nadim who made us awesome drinks! The pool was a great end of the day treat! We wished the breakfast was until 11am, though. We missed it by 10 minutes one morning and they had already cleared the entire buffet! I wish we would have experienced the spa. Next time!"

"This was, by far, one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. The walkway was ancient, rundown, and felt downright unsafe. The rooms? Beyond outdated—borderline uninhabitable. To make matters worse, the lift was old, creaky, and felt incredibly unsafe. How this hotel ever received a rating of 8.0 is beyond comprehension. It’s shocking and unacceptable that Hotel.com would allow such a misleading rating to stand. I trusted your platform to guide me toward quality stays, but this was a complete disaster. You seriously let me down this time. Immediate action is needed—both for your customers and your credibility. I’m reconsidering ever using Hotel.com again after this debacle"
