I hate giving this review bc the hotel has great potential, it should be a 10 but it's a 6 or 7
Pros: secluded, private, beautiful, beach and villas, very good service in general but especially in the restaurants, good food (Except for the tacos that gave my husband and I food poisoning) and authentic mexican feel without the Cabo clichés, sometimes it's hard for me as a Mexican to enjoy hotels in my own country because they portray the idea of what a lot of foreigners think it's mexican culture.
Cons: for starters my husband and I got very sick from some lamb tacos and the management didn't offer any help, the worst part is the hotel expected us to pay for them, at the end they sustracted them from the final bill. In general I feel that the hotel is overpriced specifically the spa rates and I didn't feel that they live up to the standards of Relais and Chateaux (we've stayed in many around the world). I understand that the hotel is in the middle of the jungle (which is great), but the amount of spiders, lizards, crickets, ants and crabs inside the room was too much, I'm used to the occasional visitor but this felt like a plague, also the condition of the hotel isn't the best, to get to the beach you had to cross through a huge disgusting puddle; the cleaning of the room was deficient: some days they cleaned the outside tub and others they didn't, same with the minibar refillings and lastly the hotel is in no way adapted for people with disabilities
