"We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Hancock House. Simon/Host provided excellent communication and updates during our stay. The incredible Victorian residence is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood overlooking the city. Our room was cozy, and in a very clean condition. The breakfast was terrific. Definitely a wonderful place to stay in Dubuque."

"The breakfast is not worth eating...eggs looked like the ones boiled in a bag that are full of chemicals. The room walls and furniture are quite worn and beat up. A BIG Plus was that the mattress was Very comfortable and had a good night rest unlike all other hotels. I have Never had a good night sleep like at this hotel. Excellent location to the convention center for our dance competition. I will stay here again despite the negatives. Hopefully they remodel by next year."

"The beds were very uncomfortable and breakfast is now lacking greatly. We have stayed here 3 or 4 times prior and it was not as great as it has been in the past. "

"It was really loud since they have live music, lots of people coming and going until it was over. If that's your scene, probably works out nicely. Don't of the bathroom fixtures you can't tell if their stained with age or just dirty."

"If at all possible do not get a room near the pool. It can get quite loud around the pool area and it doesn't stop until about 11 pm. But overall great place to stay. Clean. Staff are nice and helpful. Plenty of parking."
