" The pictures do this place justice. While the units do look like the pictures, these pictures were clearly taken pre-hurricane. The property is pretty damaged from the hurricane and the first unit they gave us had mold in it. We finally got into a second room four hours later and the shower had hair in it, all over the walls and floor. They don’t offer cleaning services for free, we were told that if we wanted cleaning services, there would be a fee. For the amount of money we paid for the room...

"What a tropical paradise! We were blown away by Hideaway! If you are looking for a private, family or couple getaway, this is the best place around! The simplicity might be a little less than what some want, but the stay met every one of our needs. The environment was beautiful and the beach was our favorite on the island! Little touches everywhere were not overlooked by my family. "

"This is a great place and a great value. If I could change only one little thing it would be to get the water in the shower a little more hot; it’s not cold but not quite hot—a little over lukewarm. I’m sure this could be a quick fix from a maintenance engineer. There is a little road noise, as well, which you can’t help being that close to the main road. "The bathroom was filthy and some of the tiles in the main room were broken. We checked in and checked out about 15 minutes later. "

"Everything was perfect at the St. John Inn! Karen was lovely and a friendly host. The room and property was clean and welcoming, and we really appreciated the amenities they offered. The free breakfast and pool was a huge bonus! Also we loved seeing Bob and the other cats on the property. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit St. John. "

"Our stay at Villa Island Paradise was exactly the escape we needed. The room was impressively clean, and the staff was so welcoming and helpful throughout our trip. Having laundry on-site was a huge plus for refreshing our gear after beach days, and being so close to local shops made grabbing daily essentials a breeze. It’s a rare find that feels both high-end and totally relaxed—we’re already planning our return!"
