"Animal and Environmental harm caused by employees I recently stayed at Silver Sand Resort on Havelock Island and was deeply disturbed by what I witnessed. Several times, I saw resort employees throwing rocks at stray dogs that were calm, friendly, and non-aggressive. The island dogs are well accustomed to tourists, and Havelock Island is also widely known to be rabies free. "Very pretty spot , well looked after by staff. Room very clean, and restaurant served good food. The beach is 5 mins walk away. Nice verandah to sit out on with cane furniture. Only thing we think could improve is the bed was very hard, and more pillows would be nice. "
