"This was a wonderful stay: the room was gorgeous; the bed was comfortable; the floor heating worked like a charm against the cold winter temperatures; the host was friendly and provided a delightful Korean breakfast; and it was generally a great experience. The hanok was located about 15 mins by foot from all of the major sites, and great restaurants were only 5 mins away "
"This was a great and unique experience. The washroom was simple but clean. It seemed like a relatively newly renovated location with a small divider between the shower area toilet so upon showering, not the full washroom was wet. They were able to store my luggage when I arrived into the city early and were very helpful in showing me my accomodation and explaining what is available through the hotel. The entire hotel was beautiful, especially at night."
"Good size room. Newly built hotel. Female staff was particularly friendly. Room temperature can be lowered to 22C to save energy. To be eco-friendly, toiletries (combs, shaving kits…) can be optional. "
"My son wanted to experience the Korean traditional lodging while my husband needed a good bed and a quiet place. Ran Hanok satisfied us all with a room with a bed and a futon to enjoy the traditional heated floors. The guesthouse had everything else we needed as well - daily towel exchange, continental breakfast, basic amenities, etc. It is a 15 min walk to the historical sites and HwangLiDanGil (황리단길), which has tons of good restaurants and shopping, so you get all the fun but a quiet night away from the crowds. The owners were super nice and helpful as well, providing us directions and recommendations whenever we needed them. I highly recommend this lovely bed-and-breakfast style guesthouse if you want to try the traditional Korean lodging in Gyeongju. "
